Might as well. Game’s dying anyway.
It is better to go out gracefully, than to shamble on as a corpse shell that everyone hates.
While this isn’t wrong, Wildhammer’s aren’t playable. That, and I haven’t seen the Bronzebeards do much communing with nature. They tend to get drunk and build things with Gnomes.
Why? The existing lore allows for this.
Well yeah, but some of the houses are made of dirt, and this jives with the Earth Elemental so therefore Shaman according to Yadria.
Wildhammers distinctly train Bronzebeard dwarves in being shamans. Notice how almost all of the dwarf shaman trainers are Wildhammers. Dark-Irons have the excuse of literally living alongside them.
We have already TOLD YOU MULTIPLE TIMES THAT IT DOESNT. You just don’t want to consider it. I wonder if you’re just joshing all of us!
With the elements apparently swinging anywhere from chaotic evil to chaotic good I don’t see why any race wouldn’t be capable of being chosen by an elemental force and imbued with shamanistic power.
Shamanism is a thing going back all through human history, yet humans cannot be shaman, because reasons.
He’s really right. If being a Shaman is about being chosen, then literally anyone could be chosen, it just depends on their demeanor and which spirit they interact with.
There is nothing about being a Human that blocks you from being “spiritually woke” as you put it. If an Orc can be woke enough to do it then basically anybody can.
Yes individuals exist. We’re looking at the cultural level. There is no cultural precedent for a human shaman who is not a Kul Tiran.
You do not cite any facts. You can’t explain goblins/nelf/kutiran with facts. You make things up like Naturalistic.
TIL: The Kul-Tirans with their strong navy and titan origins have tribal culture.
SO IM MAKING UP THE DICTIONARY?!?!?!?!?!?
naturalistic
nat·u·ral·is·tic | \ ˌna-chə-rə-ˈli-stik , ˌnach-rə- \
variants: or less commonly naturalist \ ˈna-chə-rə-list , ˈnach-rə- \
Definition of naturalistic
: of, characterized by, or according with [naturalism]
If the Wildhammers are so naturistic, then why aren’t there any Wildhammer Druids? Just about anybody can be a shaman, so long as you are willing to make a contract with them. Being naturalistic enough to be a Druid however, is much harder.
I’m glad you and Syzzyt came. Hopefully you can explain this to him better than I can.
THEY DO. SINCE THEIR VRYKUL PARENTS DROPPED THEM OFF. ARATHOR?
Nevermind that humans are inherently tribalistic, and form tribes all the time. And that the Kul-Tirans literally worship the sea. Sounds like shamanistic practices to me. They’re worshipping the natural!
Being a druid requires connections with the wild-gods. It’s not a thing in Wildhammer culture. That’s why they don’t have druids. They have contacts with the elements, not with the wild-gods that bestow animal forms. They’re not culturally druidic and have had no experience in that field.
Druidry, sometimes termed Druidism, is a modern spiritual or religious movement that generally promotes harmony, connection, and reverence for the natural world.
Shamanism is a practice that involves a practitioner reaching [altered states of consciousness in order to perceive and interact with what they believe to be a spirit world and channel these transcendental energies into this world
And they been around in the real world longer than most religions have
I and honestly shocked you never heard of druid or shamen be for wow
and think its a wow only thing
Stay in school kids
Before BfA Kul Tirans were humans with a fleet.
After a significant retcon they are now loudly singing pirate people that would gladly clear a forest to add to their fleet, yet somehow stoic worshippers and defenders of nature.
Kul Tirans are legitimately the opposite of what should be able to be a Shaman, yet here we are, with Sea-faring-logger-shaman.
Before BfA turned “tidesages” into “shaman” they could just have easily been “mages”.
IT’S NOT A TRIBAL THING FOR THEM.
Ok, look. During the recruitment for Kul’Tirans we see a Kul’Tiran shaman shipwright, when we ask her about the elementals running around she said she called them, then when asked “So you’re a Shaman?” She replies “What’s a Shaman?”
This is the same argument I’ve had for Night elf Paladins, different cultures view things differently.
God I don’t even know why I’m bothering.
You’re arguing with what is worse than a brick wall, I promise you if you say the sky if blue he will say it is green because he said so and that you have no proof. There’s no talking sense into him.
there should be no Ally shaman or Horde paladins.
Where? Oh, I didn’t know one witch-infested forest somehow counted for the entirety of the island? Cutting down woods is good for the environment, lets new stuff grow. Just don’t do it too often, that’s why the Thornspeakers work with people!
I didn’t know you had to be butt-naked in a loincloth and dancing around the fire while smearing crap on your chest to be reverant of nature and to ask the elements for help.
I’m a very patient person, except for willfull ignorance. That riles me up like nothing more.
Go back to the classic forums, noone wanted your input.
Which is why the only remaining forest on their entire island is a haunted and cursed death trap?
Thumbs up Kul Tirans. You’ve done a good job in your efforts of conservation.
If Kul Tirans can be druids and shaman, there is no excuse that any race cannot be a druid or a shaman.
If an UNDEAD Forsaken can manipulate the vital energies of LIFE and chi in order to heal you as a MONK there is really no excuse for any class/race restriction.
Undead monks make the restrictions a laughing stock.
