I have thought the same often. Also a 3rd faction - the Scourge and DK’s can stay with the LK and serve him.

We were slain by the Scourge Invasion and raised against our wills to fight for him, and then sent to Lights Hope Chapel to die just to draw out Tirion Fordring. What fool would be willing to work under those conditions? Bolvar is better than Arthas was currently because Bolvar allows us to keep our free wills while holding the rest of the Scourge at bay. I love Arthas as a character, but as a death knight, I hate him.

Im just mad no hide nor hair of lk from after wotlk ending to right before legion starting.
And gone again after legion.
Its like we a flavor background character and just along for the ride.
Honesty thought hero classes would have more main vein involvement.

i was just saying this same exact thing. its like DK’s dont exist anymore when it comes to lore stories now. They had their time, and they have moved onto the shiny new toys

Its going to be a Death Mage probably. A cloth wearing tank that tanks with a minion, a necromancer dps class, and a blood mage type healer/damage class like disc.
I literally just died inside lol. Maybe a either all heals or straight dps hero. I mean just cause the dps outspec the other 2 dont mean they don’t deserve a hero.lol
Next hero class totally needs a healing spec and ranged/caster. Was honestly hoping for demon hunters to have a mobile archer like spec.
That belongs to the world of sanctuary lol.
But i figured the same thing when i heard about dh first time lol

Or healer. We technically have 3 hero dps and 2 hero tanks specs. Definitely time for a healer.

Even if we wanted to go back to serving the Lick King we could not since Arthas, the one and only true Lich King, is dead. And he’s dead because we killed him.
The random Joe Nobody sitting on the throne right now is just that, a completely random Joe Nobody who means nothing. He has no drive, no plan and no purpose. Blizzard completely betrayed the fanbase with their bullcrap “there must always be a Lich King” bs.
Since Arthas was THE FIRST LICH KING then there wasn’t a Lich King for the tens to hundreds of thousands of years that the world was ruled by the Titans. So that alone directly contradicts the stupidity of “there must always be a Lich King” since for the majority of Azeroth’s existence there was no Lich King.
There wasn’t even a need to put someone on the throne since it wasn’t a position that needed to be filled. The entire point of going to Northrend was to end the undead menace once and for all. Something which we had basically done by killing Arthas and nearly every other undead in Northrend. Since Arthas only controlled the undead he created and not every undead everywhere then killing Arthas and the undead he created completely removed any threat his undead presented.
Furthermore, the only reason why we served the Lich King in the first place is because we were created without any memory of who we originally were. The only memories we had were of us serving Arthas, which we did since we didn’t know any better and were compelled to serve him. That was made very clear to us during the DK prologue when you kill your sister or your brother or whomever to test to make sure that you don’t have any memory of your prior life.
It was only after we were freed from our connection to Frostmourne at Light’s Hope Chapel that we regained a portion of our original memories and learned that Arthas was our true enemy. Why would we serve the person who killed us, enslaved us, made us kill our sister/brother, and was only using us to serve his own ends?
Yes, Arthas is an awesome character to us, the fans of WC3 and WoW, but to the people of Azeroth he’s a nightmare who either murdered everyone who ever cared about him or at least tried to murder them.

No. Nur’zhul is Nur’zhul. The LIch King is the combination of Arthas’s soul and Nur’zhul’s. Nur’zhul needed Arthas’s soul in order to be complete and finally become the Lich King.
Nur’zhul had only a fraction of the power the Lich King had and none of his drive. Nur’zhul was satisfied to sit on that throne doing nothing for centuries, just living inside those pieces of armor and sword for centuries waiting for Arthas to be born so that he could be complete.
To keep the scourge in northrend.

And, ive noticed only my dks make the loop around at wrynnfall. Priest and pally just keep flying. Dk does loop around when flying over there 100%.
Go ahead and try it on other classes. Flight from dal to aalgan point. It should show flight path basically going to opposite side of broken shore to aalgan point. If they do the loop, lmk.

And there must always be a lk but only from the time the first was created. Which was ner’zhul and he was still frozenly active till arthas claimed the helm and then their minds joined and arthas’s death of his final piece doesn’t even mean that ner’zhul went anywhere, ever.
We didn’t kill arthas so much as watched him get pwnt. And we didn’t even dent the scourge. Hence why after icc final encounter, tyrion was shocked his bruhl showed up and was like theres literally nothing else i can do cause im not alive and can’t die.

LOL because you where not worthy of true power. At this point i would go back in a hart beat to gain more power. Look at all he did and how many he had working for him that had gain true power from him and us just being a race of undead. We are no longer corps raised on the battle field but a army waiting for a leader. The fact that he still talks to us and tells us what to do shows he does not need to control us just point the way and we do it. So look at your class mount and understand for all of your work that came from him.
