I wish I wasn’t. I’d love to see them playable. Why do you think they are not viewable in the dressing room on wowhead? Because they are NPC models not compatible with player customization or armor. They could be coming, but as it stands right now, they are not compatible with player models. They do not support player animations or customization options.
It’s the same as Nightborne, which had lots of customization options but the models did not support player gear. They had to be completely redesigned from the ground up using Night Elves as a base.
Ethereals do not support gear or animations. Now granted with Dracthyr we’ve seen that not supporting gear may not mean they won’t be playable, but I doubt they’d do that twice after the backlash.
