Got mine as well. The quest seems like a lot, but people are reporting doing it in less than 24 hours.
Yeah, it’s been a theme in this forum. You legitimately don’t come close to needing it in any content.
I finished mine, its really not much. Most of its done through the AH. Depending on your Raid lockouts…yeah you could easily finish it in 24 hours. Only Time gate maybe is the drops from the Raid boss Kills, because sometimes they don’t drop. Drop less in the lower difficulties I found.
I got mine from a H Sark only Run, So luckily I had all those bosses left to Clear. Because after it dropped I cleared Norm and only got 6 total. Next day ran Heroic and got the remaining needed in 4-5 bosses.
I’m not even worried about the drop since there’s no way I could ever afford all the mats you need to craft it. Insane.

Dracothyst is like 7k a piece and you need like 50 of them dawg that’s 350k right there and that’s only one of the materials. I’d need to sell like 2-3 tokens to get all the mats. Not happening
I’ve started gathering materials for the leggo so that, the day I do get it, it should only take a short time and not a lot of gold to create…but if I don’t get it, despite constant weekly attempts, despite having the means to make it and the desire to use it, despite this mysterious and not well explained bad luck protection…then will it all have been a waste of time, and is that ultimately a bad thing or just what the game is made for…?

It’s <5k a piece, and you need 20 of them. Current market price for all the materials fully made is about 260k.

Hey at least your guilds gotten one. Our guild has two evokers who have never even seen it and we clear it weekly.
Even if this were accurate, which it’s not, there are plenty of other ways to make gold if you don’t want to/can’t buy a token.
If you don’t want to pay a nominal amount of gold for a gigabis item (potentially for the rest of the xpac) feel free to send your gem my way if it drops for you.
Dracothyst is really 7k on my server group no exaggeration. I’d know because I’m a JC and some rich dragon paid me 50k to make the JC part with his mats and I got 7 dracothyst resourcefulness proc which he let me keep and that got me another 50k.

What’s 7k x 50? Is it 350k? So what was I inaccurate about?
The coalescing dracothyst takes 20. What am I missing that requires 30 more?
Also, dracothyst is a crafting item that should count as a commodity, so the cost should be the same for anyone in the region, correct?
edit: I just logged from a dead server cluster (Bonechewer) to a populated one (A52) and the cost is 4900 with 4993 available. Not a coincidence–this is a region-wide commodity, so it’s not 7k on your server.
Seems like everything, unless I missed where the other 30 dracothyst you claim we need are going.
It wasn’t me, but I did the same thing today. I had 2/3 of my items made(need 6 bars left from raid)…… I tipped 50k each and was also aware of the crafting bonus and extras they get to keep.
This is literally a group quest… treat the people who help you well, because you can’t do it without them.
Still without one on mine too.
We needed an enhance in mythic and I’m over waiting for it to drop so I just main swapped and leveled this guy on Tues.
I’m sure it’ll drop for me this next reset now, lol.

I’ve seen it once so far on somebody’s third or fourth alt they brought to a fun run and once in a pug stacked with Evokers all trying to get it. Honestly the drop rate is embarrassingly low for how many of them are actually trying to get it.
I think I much preferred the fixed time quest legendaries like the rogue daggers. At least I knew when I’d get them instead of a nebulous maybe never.
If it counts I still don’t have it.
