it was rare for me to complete a ‘20 world quests’ weekly when it was offered in the previous expansions, and now i don’t expect it to return with how few WQs are visible to me every 3.5 days
at least no turtle beachheads for the moment, either
Welp, players that do open world content do not take 6 months off. Thats your problem if you do! We are here for the long haul! I have NEVER taken a break in 18 years!
In Shadowlands people complained that world quests took too long.
In DF, people complain that world quests are too quick.
/boggle
I’m not aware of any achievements that are only up for 24 hours before disappearing.
World Quests were basically culled after BFA.
SL they decided to reduce them to 3 per zone, because… you know, their reasons.
Shadowlands quests were terrible for the most.
In DF, people aren’t complaining about the quests - just the tiny amount of them.
i guess they can bring them back. but for what? they award nothing. i was wanting more to come back as well, well, until i hit maxed renowned with all factions like 3 weeks ago. now my screen is filled with wq’s. why? because they award nothing and i have no reason to do them. the paragon rep bags dont give mounts or anything. so wq’s are 100% pointless. renowned maxing is the easiest rep i ever did in my nearly 2 decades of playing this game.
I see where you are coming from, one option you have is rep grinding.
This will often times unlock new quests, do hunts, kill elites for dragon rep, cook some soup.
They did leave things to grind, just not WQ.
If you have maxed all rep and do not enjoy dungeons, raiding, battlegrounds, playing the AH, crafting, or gathering…
Maybe they could add some epic, long (no time gateing plz) quest line. For hard core questers like yourself and others.
I personally do not like quests and am very very pleased with the reduced amount. BUT having an epicly long quest line or two wouldnt be the worst thing.
Another thing that I would like to see, is, if they are going to insist on keeping them bi-weekly, can we get the other world events on a bi-weekly lockout as well, Soup event, Dragonbane Keep event, Hunt, and the Trials all reset when the WQ do if they keep this system.
They can add daily quests imo on top of the half weekly ones. They nerfed gold gains by a buncj in comparison to last expansion emmisaries.
I totally disagree with the OP.
The fact that this expansion doesn’t demand absurd amount of hours for the tinniest of progression is the BEST thing about it.
I played for 16-20 hours A DAY during my month long winter vacation…and I never once got close to finishing all of the dailies. Reputation dailies are soul sucking activities.
You need to be more productive with your life, many people love it due to the fact they can actually spend time with family and not have to be forced to keep doing quests 24/7 to keep up with rep and progression. it will stay like this, long overdue.
Because you want to play 24/7 it shouldn’t be forced on others, balance is key.
No. Not even.
some people aren’t at max renown though and the renown grind is obnoxious without world quests.
I don’t understand how dailies were such a strongly compelling thing to complete if people didn’t like completing them personally. The same people don’t have a problem ignoring PvP or any other aspect of the game they don’t enjoy despite it being there to complete and providing its own rewards so I’m not sure what the strong draw was.
The argument against dailies seems to be “I was no lifing the game on dailies so you’re obviously no lifing the game if you want them back.”
It’s all been petty attacks on people’s time management, their lack of a family, or lack of a life in general. Nothing substantive including the claims of being “forced” to do them.
Because of the reward structure mostly from what I’m remembering. Most of the progression raider types didn’t like that wq’s/open world content were giving decent stuff to non-instance playing players. Plenty of threads about it, if folks go back, and check. Perhaps they were idk, but believe titan, and war forging were the main issues. Figured the complaints would end about wq’s after forging was removed, but those folks obviously still feel forced to do wq’s for some odd reasons lol. People keep using the word forced which is weird imo. I can’t imagine somebody standing behind these people while they are playing wow whispering, or maybe yelling at them lol, saying do every single wq, or else no cake for you lol.
“I can finally spend time with my family because WoW world quests only reset twice weekly” is such a weird thing to imagine.
Wouldn’t know. I never had a problem budgeting my personal life/time around videogaming, or other hobbies. Sometimes you can play, sometimes you can’t.
Grinding dailies never mattered until AP was introduced.
If you werent in a world first or even server first guild grinding ap wouldnt have mattered.
Just say you have fomo and move on.
I dont care for dailies but there are people who enjoy it. There is no reason to remove content from them.
What kind of an easy life do you have if you think putting candy in front of a baby and telling them not to eat it is cruel.
If you asked your parents for something and they said no were you the type of child to throw a tantrum about how mean they were?
