You respond to this as if the conquest of Theramore were the goal. I tell you now, it is only the beginning! I do not speak solely of destroying the human foothold in Kalimdor. I speak also, and even more vigorously, of the night elves. Let them flee to the Eastern Kingdoms as we crush and take their resources!-Garrosh
Warchief! The Alliance may indeed not send reinforcements. Not at once, at least. They will turn and vent their wrath instead upon those of us in the Eastern Kingdoms-my people and sinâdorei.
So yeah, Sylvanas continued the game plan Garrosh started.
Garooshâs goal was for access to the forest resources that the night elves refused to make a trade deal for.
Sylvannasâ game was total planetary extinction. Her war was fought to bleed the Horde as much as the Alliance.
This isnât totally true. While Sylvanas certain wanted as many souls to go to the Jailer. She would have preferred it be Alliance souls. She still ultimately took some pride in her people and the Horde and would have probably given Ashenvale to the Horde to do with as they pleased.
Sylvanas, as revealed by her Makâgora with Saurfang, never truly cared for those under her command sans Nathanos Blightcaller post-Jailer deal. Horde, Alliance, it mattered not to her. Souls were souls.
You are talking About Sylvanas âThe Horde is nothingâ Windrunner, right?

Alterac belongs to the Horde. I would be glad to have the Syndicate change colors and aid us in the next faction war. Having human potential on your side is always a boon.
I doubt that. If Saurfang hasnât gathered his rebels the Horde might have won. And then Ashenvale would be up fro grabs. Maybe for the Orcs since they are still in dire need of resources after the nelves broke the trade deal back in wotlk.
As much as I despise Sylvanas, she still did take pride in leading those loyal to her. She even mentioned that she still evacuated civilian Forsaken when she considered it foolish.
Make no mistake, she would thrown the Horde under the bus if it served the Jailerâs plan. But considering the Jailer never asked her to do that specifically she wouldnât have minded that it survive/get rewarded had it blindly served her.
More or less this is what I think too.

And they would wind up becoming the race with the most attention save perhaps the Orcs.
Lets face is, the only thing the Horde is getting, as things stand, is the villain bat. Anything positive, even if it is dragged along with more humans, is an improvement. The attention Alterac humans get wouldnât replace attention other Horde races get because it doesnât exist.
