An attempt at looking more closely like a gilgoblin. All things considered I actually like this quite a bit in the meantime.

Thank you! I’ll be posting on her frequently. That hairstyle is similar to the one here.
I tried out a number of different styles. They are fun to play with. Thats actually one of the female dwarf hairs with a texture change and void elf tentacles with a bit of adjustments.

Thank you! I still want them as an allied race and not customization though. Don’t get me wrong. Cuz druids, monks, expanded lore and some genuinely good effort put into the model would look great, but after seeing this I am a little bit more open to customization if its done properly. No half measures. Another reason I also prefer them as their own race is because its important to remember that this is just one skin. If they were their own allied race then they would get all kinds of customization option. However if they are to be just a customization.
- Tatoos please.
- Tentacle hair would be nice. Its not far fetched to think a gilgoblin could have hair like that.
- Eyes that glow in the dark or at least have some emissives.
- More effort put into the texture. Bluer etc.
I use this toy to give me kinda a polarm. Its not but the toy has a 1 hour cooldown and is random.
The hands work nicely for fins.
And I have red colors too. So if they never become an allied race I can be somewhat happy at least.

You know it occurred to me. What I am asking for its basically the goblin equivalent of void elves. Just less void. More aquatic.

Interesting thing I found here in the statement about gral in the wiki. He apparently bore witness to the ascension of Talanji. Grals connection with the kelfin is probably very strong and story events.

Gral is seemingly very strong. Though his temple was ruined and presumably most Zandalari don’t worship him as much anymore, he still had enough power to respond to the champion in his temple grounds and empower you.
I think he’s also found in the waters around Nazjatar doing things.
The ocean is a big place and I can’t help but to think he’s got plenty of followers siphoning him strength.

There is an area called the Temple of Atal’Gral where you help him. Its destroyed, but it would make sense for Gral to appear given the plight the gilgoblins were in.
Man, its amazing how much love has gone into making this thread. I always say it but it bears repeating, you are really talented with the 3d modeling. This is a very well put together thread and it really shows just how much love and passion you have put into it!
I really hope to see the Kelfin among the proud races of the Horde some day, I really did enjoy their presence in 8.2 and wish we had more story involvement with them to learn even more about them. The characters we did get to really interact with were pretty fun and it was interesting to see how/where they differ from their land dwelling cousins.

I recall around when I first started playing WoW during BC, there was a WoW wiki, I think, that had a fan made mock-up of an expansion with Pandaren and Naga as playable races. I can’t seem to find it, nor do I remember what factions they had for both, but I do vaguely remember one of the jokes written for Naga that would work for Kelfin. I don’t remember it exactly as it was written, but it was roughly like this:
“Ever felt the sea air move gracefully in your face? I can show you how wonderful it is! -insert spitting sounds-”

Yea. I am glad I waited so long to make this thread. Getting all the 3D model edits done was worth it so I can show people what would be awesome about having this as an allied race. Plus its fun doing these model edits.

They have many interesting parallels between land goblins. Like the naga are like the forest trolls of nazjatar. Gilgoblins are much more selfless yet still seem to have an interest in valuables without the greed. Nazjatar felt like the goblin starting zone yet the opposite of it in many ways.

Interesting. I think for kelfin voice lines, one needs to look no further then the voice lines they use in Nazjatar.
