I haven’t seen any sign of her or the Unshackled in general with regards to Dragonflight. A shame, seeing as they’ve been waiting on the shores of Durotar since the end of BfA. Just standing RIGHT there for a Horde membership invitation! I’ll even do it myself since the Horde Council totally owes me several favors! < - <
Anyway, I’ll be continuing to check on them when Dragonflight launches and throughout its patches. If anything changes, I’ll be sure to note it here.

I hope we get some day the Unshackled as an allied race… althoughh I just nnow Blizz will give them to us as skin options for goblins… which makes zero sense

No more allied races. Just call them races.
If the Unshackled properly join the Horde at some point and end up being playable, I hope all of the Unshackled races will be given representation. Can you imagine walking around in Orgrimmar and bumping into a Horde Makrura ? A Horde Murloc ? A freaking Horde Skrog ??? Okay maybe not Skrogs in Orgrimmar. It’s already overcrowded as hell

It’s a huge worry of mine that this is what could happen with Kelfin. For some races, it can work to add another tribe or clan as a customization race. Kelfin, however, have a couple of issues with it.
The first is the obvious: racials likely wouldn’t be changed. Thus the race of aquatic beings who live in the deep sea and tried to find some water to breathe in in Nazjatar when Azshara moved the water would suddenly be able to drown in a small puddle. Water breathing for playable Kelfin is a must.
The other is just no storyline presence of the Unshackled at all or identity as the Kelfin’s own race as a customization race. The last thing I want to see is Kelfin on a PowerPoint slide of customization to come and never see the Unshackled join the Horde officially or have any NPC members present anywhere. It would be an incredibly hollow feeling, especially if their voices didn’t change and they were referred to as Goblins. Not to mention the complete differences in culture and personality between Kelfin and Goblins.
Customization races can work, but they really need more love and better treatment. I haven’t been too happy seeing how Wildhammers and Darkfallen have been treated as customization races, and I’d prefer Kelfin in particular to be their own race if that could be a similar fate should they become customization races.
I could go on, but I’ve harped on the subject so many times I could make a thesis paper on it. Ultimately, I want an aquatic Goblin that can breathe underwater. Not a Goblin cosplaying and LARPing as one who can drown in a rain puddle.
I don’t see why the Unshackled as a whole wouldn’t be represented if Kelfin became their own race. We’ve seen some things like that with other races, like how the Mag’har Orcs had denizens of Draenor they utilized in BfA or how Goblins brought Hobgoblins with them.
It’d also be a good use of them should we be in placess with water, like docks and outposts. Seeing them working on repairing the underwater sections of ships or seeing some of the sea giants stomping around in patrol or fending off an underwater attack somewhere would be really neat to see as world building features.
Hopefully, we’ll see the Unshackled officially join the Horde someday so we can see that happen. Along with making our Kelfin characters, of course!

I opted to wait until Dragonflight launched to make a post, since the prepatch came in phases. I’ve checked on our Unshackled friends each time, and…they’re just chilling on the beaches of Durotar as usual. No changes that I saw either there or in Naz’jatar. No surprises there, unfortunately.
What is a surprise is something found out via datamining awhile ago involving Jinyu. It sounds like some sort of player character ID related files of some sort, though I don’t know the nature of it at all. Image and link to the Twitter post sharing it here:
It’s weird in that Jinyu are spelt “Jin’yu” and that to my knowledge, there hasn’t been any Jinyu or Jinyu-like races in Dragonflight yet we’ve seen. It’ll be something to keep an eye out as we go through Dragonflight’s major content patches.
This is of interest to Kelfin since Ankoan/Jinyu would make a great counterpart to them if they were to become a playable race. However, it’s unclear what the nature of these files are, let alone if anything would come of it in the future. So I wouldn’t get my hopes up, but it is something interesting to keep an eye out on in the future just in case.
As promised, I’ll continue to keep an eye on the Kelfin and Unshackled as we go through major patches and expansions. Still hoping they get an official invitation to the Horde and the Horde side of that character creation screen someday. Especially since I’m sure Azshara is loose and up to no good.
Until then, we’ll keep trying to make sure the Kelfin and Unshackled aren’t forgotten!

Need to add an underwater town hub version of it and have playable Naga, Jinyu, Ankoan, and Kelfin.
Saw a jinyn or Ankoan, don’t recall which, in line for a spa near Valdrakkan (sp?)

I was just commenting on someone saying a flood Naz’jatar, be pretty cool to have a flood version of it phased in that acted as a hub.

There is a sighting of Gral, the shark loa, with the Tuskarr.
Since Gral is semi-important to the Kelfin I thought this was worthy mentioning. Blizzard still uses Gral to help out the coastal and ocean peoples of WoW.
