I like the way you fit Neptulon into this. I don’t think enough was done with him during bfa.
The kelfin trio return to Orgrimmar to bring the good news and thank the Horde for their assistance. They invite the Unshackled to join the Horde officially with Neri as their representative, and she accepts.
The Unshackled set up an underwater encampment in Bladefist Bay, which serves as their racial home base.
You would think that they would be willing to join 8.3 in bfa. That would have been the perfect time to have them introduced.

Neptulon fell before the Old Gods did in the war between them and the Titans. Aszhara wouldn’t exist for a very long time after this point…
So my one quibble is that Neptulon wouldn’t have made Gilgoblins for the purpose of serving Aszhara’s army.
Otherwise I love all of this.

Considering the way the models are in game right now, I am not surprised you would think that. Its np though. They have a lot of potential if done right. Thats what this thread intends to show.

Good to hear. I would like them as an allied race, but they may end up customization. Many gilblin fans are fine with them as customization but many don’t. I am trying to keep an open mind either way.

Yeah. I can see Blizz going the way of additional customizations for stuff like this if only because I initially believed Blizz to go hard on allied races cuz it’s easy race introduction with none of the harder work (race city/starting zone).
But it looks like customizations is even easier than that, and I’d way sooner believe a company to take the absolute easiest route to max profit as possible, and customizations allow for exactly that (helfs, wildhammer)
The big question then is would they add even more class dynamic to go with these customisations (totems for example) or would we get half fantasy asthetics only

My shaman alt. I’ve made this one look like a gilblin to a degree. Its really fun, but one of my worries is that whether or not blizzard includes gilblins as an AR or customization is that they may do them poorly. I would like tentacle options like void elves have and glowing elements to them. It would work given the sea based nature of gilgoblins.

Yep and they already have all the lore setup to be an allied race.
- Horde saved them from enslavement by the naga.
- Spent some time getting to know them with lots of character development.
- They are the only unplayable race we helped in bfa to show up at a capital city and stick around long term.
- They already express lots of interest in the horde.

Yeah that would be cool, and your mog looks sick. I love the coralreef vibe I get from the shoulders. I’m okay with more customisations over AR implementation as long as they’re not lazy about it.

I think tentacle hair kind of like void elves would be really nice since in many ways gilgoblins are like the void elves of goblins.

I still don’t consider the vulpera as a goblin allied race and still think that adding gilgoblin on the horde and Jinju on the alliance would make up for the vulpera vs mechagnome scenario.

Especially given the past history of allied races. However it looks like someone in the dev team was a ratchet and clank fan. oh well.

As I love both my vulpera and my (many) mechagnomes I don’t see them as a bad thing.
That said I’d really like to see the Ankoan and Kelfin added to the Alliance and Horde.
(also the Jinyu and Hozen and about a dozen other races)
