Hey idiot, your precious private servers were selling gold back to you, it’s not that big of a secret.
If you like the way private servers were ran so much, go back to them. They still exist. Why the hell are you are here
lol
Half a dozen alts aren’t a majority.
I personally don’t want fresh reroll servers.
It’s this weird meta that comes from pservers… it’s so mindblowing that this is even a thing being suggested.
This is coming from someone who enjoys leveling… I like the grind… Still ffs
to keep the private player server players yes they do.they are the only ones raiding right now and after nax they will be gone.
private server players live off of playing on fresh start servers.
My realm(whitemane) has more people than the oh so great and famous nostalrius.
my one realm.
You can check server population estimates based on warcraftlogs on Ironforgepro…
Leave.
Ok so after naxx… what progess would you do then? Blizzard wouldn’t force you to a fresh server. However, a ton of people would quit after naxx anyway. So what’s the difference in people going to a new fresh server and people quitting cuz naxx is done?
That’s when we get TBC.
I have found this to be VERY server specific. For instance, I am leveling a toon on Faerilina just for the fun of it. All you see are “Wanting to buy carry” and “Wanting to sell carries”. Very few “LF2M for Deadmines, need dps and heals”.
On Westfall, however, it is the opposite. No one is selling carries and it is all LFM.
YMMV
The issue isn’t so much the fresh servers it’s the F R E S H mentality. With PServers everyone moves over to the latest greatest server that does it “better”. If you look at most PServers they start dying off after the AQ event. People from top guilds start fresh so they have a shot at the AQ mount, or getting rank 14 in a new honor pool. It basically kills established servers because everyone wants to be on the server everyone else is on. It might not be an issue in classic with so many servers.
For fresh servers not to completely destroy the already established community they have to come 6 months to a year after phase 6 comes out. And fresh servers should start in whatever phase the “main” servers are in. For instance if blizz opened up new servers tomorrow they should be on phase 3. It would be very confusing having servers in different phases all the time.
Personally I don’t want fresh servers. Are there things I’d change if I could go back to august 26th? Hell yeah, but I’m not willing to give up everything I’ve done for the last 6 months to maybe have a bit of extra gold later down the road.
Lol, projecting much? You’ve got some issues. I like starting on a fresh server. There’s no reason not to implement one in a few months.
I would do what I’m doing now, playing the game with my friends at our snails pace. Enjoying the chance to play the game we got hooked on so long ago. Yes, I will play Shadowlands and I expect my Classic toons to be right were I park them when I return to Classic.
If there is one thing that makes this game awesome, its the simple fact that where ever I log out that’s where my character will be when I return. Be it a day, week, or a freaking year. I don’t need to get to a “save spot” to keep my progression.
And its not just raid progress, Professions, recipes learned, collections of mats on my bank alt, and all of the same on my alts. I have no desire to “Restart” all of that.
Just like my army of Retail toons, who have been parked since the drop of Classic, will be right where I left them. So I can pick up where I left off when I decide to do so.
If you wipe clean the time I invested into these characters, on either version, I would move on. Now I would have no choice to accept the day Blizzard shuts down the Classic servers, but that’s a different thing all together. But to do it just to do it, that would destroy my trust in Blizzard.
That’s straight up false. There’s plenty of people raiding who didn’t play private servers. In my guild there’s only 5-10 who played on them. Believe it or not there’s a massive number of players that refused to play on them because they’re illegal. PServers were only one server generally. Some had 2 or 3. And look at how many servers we have in classic. It’s way more than just the sweaty PServer tryhards playing classic.
Tbh that’s the diffence between pvp and pve servers. Even at 60 it’s hard to find dungeon runs. Most of the sweaty tryhards types are on pvp servers because it’s the “real” experience. Which is why most are LF carries, it’s more efficient to pay a lvl 60 10g to run VC for you than out together a group Based on what I’ve seen here, and by talking to people who’ve transfered, pve servers seem to have significantly stronger communities that pvp servers. If I didn’t like my guild so much I’d transfer for sure, and I would NEVER recommend a new player start on a pvp server
Sure. But we’re not talking about bc. Also, until blizzard says it we aren’t getting anything.
I am.
These guys do not argue in good faith, they never have. They are very aware of what will happen to the older servers. They will be dismissive and not entertain any hypothetical given that shows why fresh is a bad idea. They will just altpost about why they want it and why others should want it too.
They could go level right now… but they don’t and won’t. It’s not about the leveling experience. They want your character gone, they want to force you to reroll with them.
Blizz sells gold to players in retail, at least Pservers could handle an full org.
Truth time? We don’t care about your older server. We played this game for years on pservers. We love this game. I’ve played vanilla non stop for years. We are perfectly happy to restart after naxx is done. If that means you quit… well… bye.
I’d be down for seasons. I’ve played pretty much every Diablo 2 and 3 season since they began. Love fresh starts on games!
