So instead of seeing all these “I quit and this is the reason why…” posts I figured it was time we had a Mega Thread that people could put why they are quitting and what Blizzard could do to win them back (if there is any possible way). That way we have a good spot for Blizzard to read and respond, if they will ever respond.

No, not really. I just wanted to be the first one to post in the megathread. My post is forever here now though if I ever feel like actually quitting.

I personally have 3 months left on my subscription and hoping that Blizzard will pull a Hail Mary before that time comes up. I love Blizzard games and don’t want to think about quitting, but if we just keep with the same thing constantly then there is no need to waste anymore time. Some things they should heavily consider:

  1. Lower the amount of RNG - RNG will always be part of this game and I am ok with a certain % of it, but there gets a point when almost everything is RNG and you just cannot take anymore of it.

  2. Merge dead servers and get rid of as much sharding as possible. There are tons of threads where people don’t see anyone all day playing. You know there are people there, but they are either sharded or on their dead/dying server. Strange seeing “new player” servers still showing up when there are so many “low” servers out there. Lets start merging, this will probably help with maintenance as well.

  3. Lower the amount of time-gating (including flying) - I mean this one is a no brainer. Quit putting content behind fake walls and saying we need to experience everything or there is a certain amount of story content needed before a raid opens. I personally don’t raid, but seeing all the people out there that do just not able to do the content sucks.

I am sure there is more and others will add with their stories.

Six days left on my sub. Taking a break. I went hard into the Mage Tower, and had probably the best time I’ve ever had playing WoW. Coming off that high had to have a corresponding low, right? BfA is not bad, IMO, but it has failed to grasp me in the same way Legion did:

  1. The story has good parts, but isn’t grabbing me.
  2. The leveling zones are inconsistent (SSV is one of the worst zones in the whole game, IMO)
  3. They took a lot out of the classes and put back in what feels like very little, so the end-sum feels like I’m playing a lesser version of the legion specs.
  4. A continuation of the 3rd point - Azerite armor is, IMO, a crummy power creep goalpost. It’s like an amalgam of the Netherlight Crucible and the Artifacts, except it rubberbands within the same tier as you’re acquiring higher level gear, and that feels pretty bad. (Not to mention, as I said, they took away a lot: Artifact, Netherlight crucible, legiondaries (love them or hate them, we were all doing our emissaries like clockwork to hopefully get one) and tier sets. )

TL;DR not having enough fun, taking a break, no you can’t have my stuff. I’ll be back, probably 8.2 or 8.3.

Part of me is hoping they drop the ball with whatever challenge mode they implement for this expack so I can sit out and catch up on other games. Seriously, I must have put in over 100 hours of gametime into the Mage Tower.

I agree with everything except the Netherlight Crucible, that is EXACTLY what the Azerite armor is. Its RNG relics! Just like the Crucible, the WORST part they added to Legion.

Its amazing how they worked in the worst, and least attractive aspect of legion into BfA. I did not even bother with the crummy Crucible after the first 3 relics were all the SAME!

Such a joke, its enough to make me quit, and i am really close to doing so. Havent even wanted to login today, at all.

I agree with this the most. The issue is each patch has like 3 days of content and they try to stretch it out for 6 months. It sucks.

Sad thing is, it seems they have tested 8.1-8.2 longer than the entire expansion. This is to funny. I still remember the 8.1 survival guide LMAO! It should have been a survival guide on trying to stay subbed. Its a travesty that they pushed the raid, and the meat of the patch so far out, almost a month still.

They slit their own throats with that decisin. They really did.

I can say i quit all i want, but until all that token time expires, i can not actually REALLY say i quit if you know what i mean.

This is the real reason they invented automobiles.
Actually, that’s not true. The reason the automobile was invented is that they needed a way to start using up oil. Same thing with tofu. A couple of broke guys sitting around bored with nothing to eat. One takes a lick of tofu, realizes it didn’t kill him, next thing you know, California was invented.

Myself I left for pretty much every reason that has been posted on here. One thing they need to go back to old school systems like from BC-MOP. Especially with making crafting skills viable in game. The game has been really a failure for me. The last three xpacs. I waited that long hoping they would see the light. Now no more though.

I wish this thread would work but it’s not gonna work. Know why? Every person that makes an I quit thread does so to throw the limelight onto themselves. They want people to feel bad they’re leaving. They want Blizzard to feel bad they’re leaving. They want everyone to feel bad they’re leaving and to tell them “No stop don’t do it! We’ll add playable giraffes!”

That won’t happen if they’re comment number 1420 out of 8772.

Wish it would though.
