The Human Worgen are the strongest by default playable race. (In lore)

Yeah, no. A worgen could do some serious damage, but a tauren could do such overwhelming damage with a single strike that I would bet on them. Plus, they have horns. Tauren ftw.

I think orc should be in this discussion, too. They’re not as physically strong as tauren, nor do they have claws, but they’re a hardcore warrior society that’s passed years upon years of warrior knowledge down generationally. Plus, they contended with ogres, ogronn, gronn, magnaron, genesaur and colossi(?) back on Draenor. Orc is a contender just due to cultural experience.

I’m not biased at all :stuck_out_tongue:

Why are you people so… like… completely naive? I’m starting to think you’re all willingly ignorant.

CLAWS/TEETH >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MEATY FISTS
INSANE SPEED >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SLOW

Skill/speed/natural weapons are much more valuable then slow strength and size.

Your arguments make 0 sense! So tazmanian devils and lynx aren’t deadly because they are smaller? No.

Then add Dwarf because they are just as strong as Orcs.

No, i was actually going to point out that the only mortal to damage a titan pre-legion was an orc.

While Tauren are stronger, in an unarmed fight, I’d favor the Worgen… Their claws and fighting power was enough to dent the giant monsters Garrosh somehow brought from Northrend without nobody noticing.

Not sure if they are as strong as the Worgen the Night Elves couldn’t control, but they are powerful. Quite powerful.

A magnataur bellowed, his body almost literally covered with worgen. Several worked at the legs and, even as Varian passed them, one limb gave.

The worgen were everywhere in the battle, darting in and about and slashing with either weapon or claws as the need arose.

Ghoulish Forsaken retreated in the face of a foe too swift for them, the undead having already seen several of their number ripped apart or cut to wriggling, useless pieces.

Hardened tauren sought to take a stand, but their very agile foes more often than not got under their defenses, striking true and finally pushing the tauren back.

The top half of a goblin machine spun around and around as its operator frantically tried to keep two worgen at bay. The Gilneans calmly waited until they had the measure of the mechanism’s movements, then one sprang past the whirling blades, landed behind the driver, and raked the goblin’s back with his claws.

Worgen are stronger than humans, that’s clear in Curse of the Worgen especially. But when it came to combat against tauren, they did get the upper hand, but thanks to agility and precision.

All it takes to create a dangerous worgen is to infect some farmers boy with the curse. Suddenly you have a beast that can cause mass destruction.

I have done the experiments and Tauren 2handers tend to be as big if not bigger than Blood Elf women, so I feel like you could get a absolute beast of a combat unit by have a Tauren warrior dual wielding two blood elf warriors who are dual weilding.

As to OP, just because you silly wolves stole our plains striding you get all cocky. Before declaring yourself all super strong remember that traditional tauren weapons include logs.

Why does everyone keep ignoring how a worgen comes with natural weapons… You’re fighting an incredibly fast creature with razor sharp claws and teeth. Highly intelligent as well as savage in combat. I’m sorry but the person with the blades are going to win every fight.

That’s not really strength though. I won’t argue speed or claws, although I don’t think that if you’re taking the lore scale of Tauren that they’d be super deadly (just that it wouldn’t be an instant evisceration, they’d have to work at it some, and armor would vastly cut down the usefullness of natural weapons)

But you said strength, (and also brought up knock off plain striding as a proof) and the worgen abilities compared to tauren would be superior agility. They’d be able to dance around wearing one down, but dropping wow stats and moving on to more rts based reasoning, if a tauren landed a hit with a totem you’d most likely have a somewhat furry splatter mark.

Also as noted in reality, one on one a cow can destroy a wolf, the biggest strength the wolves have is pack hunting where they can overwhelm a stronger creature.

Also you’re discounting the Tauren’s natural weapons in the form of horns and hooves.

Pound for pound the Worgen are probably the strongest of the races, I’d GUESS followed by Orcs and Dwarves. Tauren are strong but they’re also huge.

You know you bring up a good point about races who are clearly strong and get zero time in the light. It’s always human and orc. I get they are the core of the story but still.

Tauren are freaking beasts literally, they should be able to crush anyone and we need to see their strength! Same with worgen, they are werewolves which should be given more respect :fist:

That reminds me of that time in Romance of the Three Kingdoms where the polearms that Dian Wei normally dual wielded were missing and the swords he had borrowed for the battle broke, so he decided that the best course of action was to dual wield enemy soldiers.

Meh, there are wolves that specialize in soloing elk and moose out there. With Cattle it’s a bit different but you should stop and think about something. Dwarfs and Draenei are both on the same level of strength as Orc, Worgen are still stronger. Look up Royce Gracie’s early UFC matches, there was no weight divisions when he started. The guy wrecked larger and stronger men.

Ever watch Gintama?

THEY ARE NOT GOD DAMNED FERAL WOLVES! I am telling you this AGAIN. They are not feral wolves. They are not feral wolves. They are worgen. Huge monsters with massive arms, insanely sharp claws and teeth that can crush a helmet. Also armor isn’t racial.

First patch they were out one of them used a carriage as a weapon with little effort.

And Tauren are 9-12 foot tall towers of muscles that are known to tote around carved tree trunks that probably weigh more than most people and can swing them around as weapons. They can trample through military barricades on their own, they weigh up to half a ton and have the muscle mass that comes with it. Worgen are faster than Tauren and can use that to their advantage, but a solid hit from a Tauren, be it a weapon, goring with their horns or trampling them under foot is going to ruin that Worgen’s day pretty categorically. And as the Cata book showed they aren’t particularly slow as Cairne was pretty much able to dodge every attack Garrosh threw at him until he got a scratch in.

You’re acting like this is some board game stuff where no matter what a Worgen has the advantage. Depending on the fight I’d say the worgen could win by utilizing their speed against a Tauren, but that a Tauren could easily turn a Worgen into a thin red paste if they land hits. And that’s not even with a wielded weapon, hooves and horns are more than capable of killing.

Yeah. Carine defended himself from a big, slow, orc. You seem to misunderstand that strength means nothing when you find yourself disemboweled with a single attack. Worgen have built in weapons and ONCE AGAIN tauren do not. As if a Worgen is gonna just run in and stupidly get stepped on or stay in one place as a tauren charges them. They would simply jump to the side and avoid them with their speed.

Worgen have weapons. Tauren don’t.
