The Horde’s foundation is conquest. Now its no longer the Horde, its the get a long gang. The true Horde is dead
Here’s a novel idea.
Why don’t we have a Warchief
And they also be a good person?
That worked out real well with Thrall.
Let The Forsaken develop the Plague and eventually it ended up being used on The Horde and Alliance.
Better idea. Let our various tribal and non-murderous peoples have an actual voice in policy, rather than be slaved to the whims of the next orc who decides to go with scorched earth diplomacy.
I like the idea of a council for the Horde. Time and time again the Horde has shown it is not able to handle one person having so much power. It is one storytelling plot point that seems right to have in the game. The other thing to keep in mind is that this may not be a permanent change. We could very well see a leader come up that unifies the Horde once again. I dare say this gives me a bit of hope. Where as the forsaken leadership removes hope…this is a strange patch in that regard.
Well, i believe that they will be 2 new leaders for lorderan. Calia and Derek.
It would be cool if the horde controlled the under city of lorderan with derek as its leader and the alliance control the upper city of lorderan with Calia as its leader(since the cycle has ended)
Although many people want to see Lillian voss leading, i dont believe she will take the mantle. Maybe she will take nathanos place and as a commander of the forsaken. Having calia will also open up a new alliance race possibly named light raised undead or something.
It will be interesting putting 2 living undead races in one city. Possibly making them friendly to eachother.
Sylvannas and nathanos can lead a new horde race and drark ranger class or something. Maybe a zone like what the death knights.
They dont dictate every policy just major ones like, Trade, national security, military and diplomacy. Its no different than the High King except Blizz never villain bats the High King.
Thats the real issue not the position of Warcheif.
Nonsense. The warchief has absolute authority over every facet of the horde. Refusing to follow their edicts is tantamount to treason.
This, the red v blue BS is played out and the warchief title was a cursed one,if someone didn’t go mad with power with it they got the red shirt treatment. A council is a better means of leadership as it gives all the leaders a say in pressing matters. Plus it’ll prevent any further nut jobs grabbing power for personal use and abuse.
It’s time for a new 3rd faction to be introduced.A more chaotic evil faction led by Sylvanas.

That the other two factions can immediately agree to dismantle.
Nonsense. Did Garrosh tell the Tauren what to do about the Grimtotem in Cata?
Did Sylvanas tell the Orcs what crops to grow?
No that was a local issue to be handled by the local authority.
They could just keep factions and introduce more faction neutral questlines and stories that have actual impacting choices that let us develop our characters personality.
If that was the case the Alliance would still have one. They dont they have High King Anduin.
The High King position is proof that nothing is wrong with having a warchief. All the problems stem from one source the writers.
We could have a warchief and be peaceful for the remainder of Wows existence if they want it.
On the same hand if they want he Horde to start another war later on a council will not stop them. They will villain bat the whole council if they think its a good idea.
I understand not wanting to be pushed in the villain spot again but gutting one of the Horde’s major themes wont stop anything.
And the price for having said authority is - none of the warchief actually end up well. Except maybe Thrall, but that’s debatable.
Warchief-ing is a deadly business.
There’s a difference on that one,Anduin so far has kept a cool head, hes young, idealistic and a pacifist willing to forgive but convey at times he isn’t a pushover. Tyrande…kinda debatable given she’s still in rage mode and the council seem alright for the moment in IF especially now that Moira got much needed closure and set aside her bad blood for her father. Voljin got the red shirt treatment and Sylvanas was picked through shady means and showed her true colors. At least we know Baine,Thrall,Rhokan,Thalyssra and Lorthemar have a good head on their shoulders and arent exactly warmongery or incline to make dealings with old gods.
Gamon for Warchief!
The Alliance is ruled by Anduin. It makes sense for the Horde to instead be ruled by a council that reflects all the diverse interests of the members. It makes for a more interesting contrast between the two factions.
Horde isnt even real due to vulpera being a thing.
Blizz doesnt care about established lore. They have said so themselves if they want to do something they just retcon anything that stands in their way.
Doesn’t matter if they are a wise council Blizz will shred it all if they feel like it.
The Alliance IS a group of nations with diverse interests and Anduin shouldn’t be its leader they should have a council as they did before Varian came into the story.
Hes done nothing but bungle the whole war if anything they should be reestablishing the council that existed prior to Wrath.
The Horde has never been an alliance. Every race that joins swears loyalty to the Horde your individual traits dont matter only whats best for the Horde. Thats why Sylvanas and the Forsaken never lined up with the Horde they were only out for themselves.
