Personally I am in the camp that believes the Bronze Age Collapse was caused chiefly by soil degradation. There hadn’t been agriculture on that scale with that stability ever before. And when the dirt suddenly stopped yielding food for no discernible reason, all hell broke loose. Nobody’s reasonable when they’re hungry…
