Blood elves are getting half-elf ears.
I assume void elves will get those too in 9.1 or whatever.
(Commentary): We know they’re getting ear length options, but it’s unclear if this is meant to signify half-elves among their ranks or not. Considering they’ve traditionally held a dismal view of, ‘diluting bloodlines,’ it seems an odd move for that to represent half-elves. Then again, why not? I think in the RPGs the Half-Elves were a predominantly Alliance race, but could be Horde-alligned.
That’s what I’m wondering, wouldn’t 2 elves having kids still be full elf?

If a player decides their character is half-elf (in a universe where there are already many characters who are half-human, half elf established), can blizzard stop them from having their head canon?

I think they are already getting them with the ear and skin customization. Velves too. The question is if night elves with get the ears too.
(Commentary): I mean, people can play whatever they want, honestly. Half-Elves on the Horde just seems unusual, certainly when they’ve gone to great lengths to talk about faction identity with races. Honestly, a fair few of the Blood Elf customizations just feel like they read the High Elf requests and added them to Blood Elves. Darker skin tones and ear length options were supposed to signify half-elves, after all. Oh well, more customization is always a good thing.
Horde will get Ogres, Sethrak, half-elves, Centaurs, etc.
Alliance will get even fatter humans and McMidgets.
After all, all of the blizz devs, including Ion the game director, play horde, and Ion won’t let alliance have any cool races, because he wants all of the cool races for horde.

Alliance is already getting half elves because they’re inheriting belf cosmetics through velves.

More elves? Is four not enough that we must endure another one. Guys I think the solution is clear, we find Garrosh in the shadowlands and bring him back to deal with the elves because he did nothing wrong.

If Garry lead us to wipe out all elves, would that mean Blizz would have to let us play another race for Demon Hunter (talk about sick of having to play elves, first blood knights, then this)
So a well fed NB then that doesn’t stand weird? I’d be okay with that.

This game has too many elves already, we are up to our pointy ears in elves, we need more beast races or ogres or tuskarr or anything other than more freaking elves.
