The Horde deserves a worthy script

Actually, it’s part clay, part river sand, and part straw. It’s called “Cob” and it is an amazing building material

Actually, ‘how to view the GAME’. This faction thing is so last decade. We are at peace now, races interacting and uniting against the greater evil, we can even raid together, isn’t the union beautiful?

It’s far too easy to discard smug stances like this. :stuck_out_tongue:

Enjoy your trolling I’ll leave ya to it.

They’re mad the alliance leader got a cool death scene and their warchiefs had a mak’gora where the racist one didn’t win.

I agree, Moyra stop trolling. If you have any respect for the forums and the discussions to debate what can make this game better, please stop.

What I am describing is the high elf fanbase.

Is that why the void elves crap talk my faction? Such neutrality wow.

WoD, Legion, BFA, and SL are factual proof that Blizzard failed the Horde. DF and TWW have, imo, no faction identity for good and bad. The bad being this boring expac we’re stuck in.

We can restore some dignity to the Horde, if Blizz remembers this is a Teen rated game and gives an expansion some teeth. Maybe lead a regiment against the humans of the Eastern Kingdoms as retribution for their crimes. Scarlet Crusade, Blackmoore, etc. Maybe damage all the lands from Ironforge to Stormwind to the point where Blizz has to update all the zones from Cata. Include Silvermoon as part of the world too. Been way too long for that place to get a makeover and be part of Azeroth.

Maybe I’m jaded but I haven’t felt any boss in the last few three expacs do anything more heinous than a Disney/Dreamworks/Pixar villain. I think that smelly banshe’s Nelf genocide was the last time we got something meaty in game. In game, books do not count. They’re second tier canon anyway.

I’m sorry if I came off as hostile. It’s just that when I comment on ideas or wishes, no one replies to me. Now that I genuinely liked the patch solely because the theme was Goblins, it caused a dissonance as to why Hordies apparently aren’t liking it, like ‘What more do they want?’, because all I wanted was for the Gnomes to have the same dedication from Blizzard. The forum makes it seem like a different game.

The idea that Bolvar should be this super powerful godlike being that can go toe to toe with a faction leader is really weird and Alliance mains need to stop acting like B-list human characters getting beaten in a fight is a problem.

We don’t like it because it’s about killing our race. We had to go through two whole expansions of killing our fellow orcs, so when Blizzard pulls us out again as a punching bag it REALLY ticks us off.

Look at it this way. How would you feel if Gnomes got the chance to reclaim Gnomergon. But in order to do that, you had to kill everyone still down there over and over?

As a gnome I’d hate it. As an orc, it’d be grand. We need dual track stories again. That way when characters are cooked up that people hate, for me that’s Faerin, players can just escape to the other faction to try something new. Now, there’s nothing ‘new.’

Warcraft was not originally ONE faction’s story, but TWO stories being told separately at once: Alliance vs Horde. I resent that’s been lost.

It no longer matters, this thread is dead. I really, truly, hoped to spark some ingenuity into the Horde story line. There is so much there to develop, not just in some xpac story lines but an overall this is where the Horde should go, from Thrall via Warchiefs to now.

The Horde deserves NOTHING. Can’t believe I played under that ugly aesthetic for over a decade. Every Horde city is so bland, except Silvermoon, which Blood Elves are more of an Alliance-type race, anyway, and only got stuck with the Horde because people were crying in Vanilla that the Horde needed a “pretty” race.

Switching to Alliance was a huge eye-opener and brought love for the game back.

Removing the horde would be too good for them.

Well good on you. Play half, pay full, watch only the even episodes of big bang theory and enjoy your fruit cup

But then, we did the same with both the story of Gnomeregan and the story of Mechagon. We killed Leper Gnomes or Mechagon King Loyalists. We always allied with the rebel faction and defeated the opponents Thermaplug is traitor of their own kind Just want Power and Mechagon a fanatic machine. I liked it because it added nuance to gnome culture, it had their theme, sets, mounts, lore of their region.Of course, now I would like this to move forward and not take half a decade, to deepen their lifestyle, their leadership, origins, like what Undermine did for the Goblins.

The goblin patch seems like it’d have went over better if it wasn’t put in the middle of years of Alliance favourtism in the story only for the next patch to be back to being about the Alliance.

It’s like they took the equivalent of a commercial break to go check in on the goblins, not all of which are even Horde, before getting back to the main Alliance show.

A big thing that would help if they want to continue to tell only 1 main story for both faction is to make sure to keep the heroes we follow around an even split. They typically like focusing on about 4-5 “main” characters at once, so just ensure that always includes a few Horde and a few Alliance heroes.

I generally don’t like what feels like “design by checklist” but they clearly can’t handle not having it because the main characters have primarily been Alliance for a while now. Thrall showed up at the start of TWW for like 5 minutes before peacing out and leaving us to follow around Anduin, Alleria, and the dwarves.

Either that or go back to having a Horde campaign and an Alliance campaign at least in the levelling stuff, but I wonder if they don’t think that’s too much resources sadly.

The game has always been cartoony, but let me point out that Blizz is intentionally making, as you call it, “Disney Villians,” actually allows for a more wider audience than something truly upsetting like a “Cenobite,” out of the Hellraiser series

PS - Did you know “Chernabog” is a Disney villain?

Fun fact: The Extreme Ghostbusters in the 90’s had an episode where they dealt with Cenobites, but in a copyright free way. For a cartoon, they had some decent body horror in that episode.

We’re not likely to get a good villain as long as they keep pumping out an expac once per year for acti’s shareholders.

I truly do not believe “Midnight” is going to be released after season 3, I believe it will be after season 4, but that’s just me.
