Man, if I was a dev and I had to read all these whining posts screaming that the Allaince wasn’t super special enough without any real substance… I’d be biased towards liking the Horde too.
Call me when nearly all of your OG faction leaders are dead or out of the picture.
I agree with this. it’s awesome to finally SEE Kul’tiras fully realized. But in the overall plot of WoW it doesn’t really matter. At all.
On the Path from Legion to BFA to Shadowlands, Kul’tiras really holds no significance in the grand scheme of things.
My problem with Jaina is the inconsistency.
I don’t think Blizz really knows what they want from Jaina.
Is She still the peace loving girl from WC3 who fought for the Horde’s fate in Kalimdor?
Or is the growing old and resentful, is she growing up to be more like her father?
Nobody knows! It’s up to the whim of the Writers.
She can threaten to kill Baine in one cinematic, and then hold hands with thrall in the next!
Don’t wait for that!
And don’t go to Shadowlands without your free pass.
Buy in advance and you can get a 10% discount on destroying another alliance city unpunished and still receive an apology from all alliance leaders for taking the horde to loot, kill and destroy ally’s lives and properties!
I see you’re point about Jaina. I choose to look at it as people are complicated. They don’t always act in ways that are aligned with who they say they are or even who they shown themselves to be.
The moment with Baine was a high stress moment. Being reminded of things like Theremore and what the Horde has done to her people.
The moment with Thrall was one of reflection of looking back over past mistakes and close calls. Friendships that existed and were lost.
Maybe I’m giving the benefit of the doubt, but that’s just how I read it. WoW writers aren’t the best, but I’ve liked worse.
As far a KT, I think its too soon to see how they’ll play out on the grand scale. Their store was more contained, but its not over. Right now, they are the navel power for the alliance. I guess, what I mean, is that I’m okay with not everything being big. I like the world building. I wanted to see/quest in KT and I got to and now they are available for stories later on.
I’m sure I sound naive, but I was just overall happy with things.
You can have our bias next xpac then you can tell me how it feels to lose almost half of your rooster of leaders in a single xpac and have another turn villain for the sake of plot.
Yeah… see all that happened to the Horde because this expansion was a Horde story about Horde leaders, doing Horde things, and staging a Horde rebellion, to reconsider the Horde’s ideals and determine the future of the Horde.
That’s what we mean.
What did the Alliance do this expansion internally?
Follow the Horde around?
Watch them?
I Wish Tyrande Died this expansion. It would’ve given the Alliance something with depth to think about.
I don’t want that to happen. I Just want the Alliance to do more than Follow the Horde around every expansion. I want them to have their own story too. But they don’t.
The Alliance only exists to further the Horde’s plot.
I Wish this Expac was a War.
But it wasn’t. This expac was about the Horde and Alliance becoming friends again.
We will never ever have a good war.
