What crazy nonsense are you talking about? there is no horde, only alliance and blood elves are treating them as guests
We cant have trolls working with trolls, what kind of game this would be? warcraft? no, let the elves and humans do the work

Why not, the alliance was able to get there pretty fast
Cant the queen of zandalar spare a few soldiers and go there with a portal?
We do have one (1) Horde Troll in the zone
Nija Torntusk is Horde Revantusk who came to help her extended family (tribe members) in Zul’Aman after she head that some Hinterland Witherbark went back to Zul’Aman after the Horde/Alliance ran them out of both Arathi Highlands and the Hinterlands
edit: She has doubts about the Hinterlands Witherbark refugees and thinks they may be evil cuz some of the ones in the Hinterlands tortured/poisoned her family
It’s more just weird the Horde has had the God Empress of Trollkind on their payroll for years now. And nobody thought to use her to broker some kinda ceasefire between Silvermoon and Zul’Aman.
… have you been drinking? To speak to your point, yes it’s a bit weird how fast Arator is zipping around the continent (the arator storyline is one of the weaker parts of the expansion) but that’s no reason to ruin the effective pacing of the other zones. Also, you know, even with that in mind, one person can travel much faster than ships, armies and royal delegations.
But why would she have? The situation in Zul’Aman isn’t something that requires the queen of the zandalari to personally teleport over on the spot.
”My queen! News from Zul’Aman. The forest troll tribes have united under a new hash’ey, and she has declared Lady Liadrin of the Blood Knights to be Invited To The Cookout.”
”… Alright, let’s prep a delegation. Time to draft up a letter.”
This is a good thing, mind you. It’s good that Blizzard didn’t massively transform the Amani status quo within one zone storyline right at the start of an expansion. Justifying Talanji’s external arrival would require massively retooling a very tight, focused, and successful zone storyline into something that I feel would just seem inchoate, rushed, and unearned.
I wouldn’t have minded having Liadrin tap a Darkspear troll or something to serve as a guide for the zone and another companion throughout it, I think that would have been good Horde troll representation, but having anyone ‘get wind’ of what was ‘going on’ and popping over would just feel odd.
very weird, yes, but, you know, my hope is that we’re gonna get to that in the patch. and I think they’re going about it the right way, by giving us a chance to refamiliarize with the amani on their own terms first rather than instantly dragging them into pantrollism.
The Tablet of the Ruling Family mentions
However, we know there is an Amani Embassy in Dazar’alor, likewise representatives of every tribe we are currently interacting with
I would wager we are getting at least Talanji and Rokhan in the next patch with Atal’Utek
He said something similar to my night elf character about it being weird it was a kal’dorei and a sin’dorei doing the job.
I havent
and it wouldnt ruin pacing of other zones
it jsut eb doign what makes sense
Also teleportation form belfs and nightborne (who ALSO SHOULD BE THERE)
its just people excusing the writers being lazy adn ingoring half the playerbases faction
I was thinking of an earlier message (as there is a campaign break between the end of Eversong and start of Zul’aman), more of a “Lor’themar called - the Amani are attacking, and most of Silvermoon’s forces are distracted with repelling the Voidstorm and can’t be used to defend against them. Can you persuade the Amani not to kill us while we’re busy keeping reality together, or at least keep them busy for a while?”
And Talanji, the Zandalari queen whose role has such a history of working with loa, would make an excellent hash’ura to Zul’jarra.
If get thats good, btu they adn horde shouldve bene ehre already
oh that’s worse
ah yes, i see in my considered response i failed to consider that ‘it would just work.’ how silly of me.
but there’s no need for that as the amani aren’t attacking, not really. the amani are trying to get lightwood which is resolved by the time the zul’aman story starts. this is, again, a fundamental change to a pretty effective zone story
I don’t know, this feels like it fundamentally shifts the nature of the amani storyline from ‘the amani need to rediscover themselves and find a future and community’ to ‘the amani need to learn how to be Real Trolls again from the good trolls who already possess this knowledge’. again, feels like it’s just parasitizing the amani narrative for the sake of putting talanji in there earlier than she needs to be.
i guess what it just comes down to is that it feels clear to me that the amani aren’t done, and that the optimal moment to have the zandalari show up is still coming. demanding otherwise just feels like needing the beginning, middle and end of a story to play out simultaneously
“The writers take notes and scramble something”
“Oh yes guys, we totally meant to add them later in the story, tis not like we just made it up now because fans were complaining and we had something else in mind, nope, this is always what we intended, shame on you people for not trusting us”
I bet my left arm on this, second patch is all about course correction.
I don’t get the obsession with Talajani MUST teach the Amani how not to be savages and not rightfully be angry at the people who hunted them for sport. I don’t think people realize how horrible and tone deaf that comes off as.
Let the Amani learn on their own. Let them bond with their Loa again through Zul’jarra. Talajani can be in the story, but people need to stop demanding she fix every troll related problem by herself
You dont get it because you are making a dumb strawman to attack
No one said they must TEACH, but walk with them trough something they already experienced in the past
They would make more sense, and make a better story, to be there instead of freaking Liadrin
just put them on ignore and be doen with it, you can never have actual arguments with them if isnt about gilneas/worgens being the most wronged, and nothign else matters
And yet here I am having an actual discussion. And frequently do.
Honestly, I’m pretty optional on Talanji.
Of the two, I think Rokhan is the more important character to interact with the twins; especially Zul’jan. As its not just the twins that need continued development (hopefully not resulting in Jan going evil, and actually growing into a decent co-leader); but Rokhan desperately needs development as the Darkspear Leader too. Rather than just repeating “I need to step out of Vol’jin’s shadow” … while never being given a chance to actually do that. I can think of few ways better to have him step-up than by having him play politics with the Amani; and contrasting him heavily with how Jin handled that “problem” in Cata.
Rokhan I think would be the better choice if another outsider troll had to be included. And if the Amani continue to be developed during Midnight, honestly be nice to see him around. Be cathartic for him to not only step out of Vol’jins shadow, but him helping the twins to step into the role of leadership for the Amani, would probably help him put his mind at ease on a lot of his issues he had with his past.
Why wouldn’t Talanji be involved? Almost everytime any major Troll tribe did anything of significance they always seem to have Zandalari guidance or the Zandalari influence it somehow. The Zandalari have always been seen as basically the Highborne of the Trolls, and now the Zandalari aren’t up to their old sneaky moustache twirling tricks they’re literally a part of one of the 2 world super powers with a major allied city a stones throw away from Zul’Amon.
If anything Talanji owes it to the Amani to grace them with an olive branch towards future good relations with the horde. The Zandalari should be leading the charge with anything involving trolls, that’s literally who the Zandalari are and have always been.
Would love to see Rokhan though. God just give me a cutscene with Rokhan, Rexxar, and Chen in it please Blizzard.
I can see concern that such a story would turn into that, but I don’t think that’s the way it has to nor should go.
To me, I’d prefer the Amani narratively needing some bonus assistance/loa references to re-establish bonds with the loa rather than having it be that they just had to reach out and ask - because to me, the latter is worse as it implies the Amani have been struggling and suffering and dying simply because they hadn’t tried to not do so. The latter, to me, reads like saying the Amani were pushing on a pull door, and Zul’jarra finally decided to read the instructions, and now she succeeded all by herself. Yay! That, to me, seemed ruder to the Amani than saying that Malacrass’s hexes had damaged the Amani’s bond with the loa to the extent that it needed an extra push to repair, one that Talanji (or Rokhan) has expertise in. I’d still want Zul’jarra to lead the way and make the breakthroughs herself, maybe even rejecting some specific pieces of Talanji’s/Rohkan’s advice because it doesn’t fit the Amani’s unique situation, but I think it would be better to show more targeted Horde assistance.
