oh thanks. i am avoiding both pro and anti discords, just so everything is in one spot. i am the gm of a classic guild, too. i really should be on there, helping people get their goodies, so we can raid. just been laying low for a bit, cause i was on constantly for at least a month, to the point my other guildies were like, go, sleep, everything in moderation. and i noticed after staying off for a day, i had alot more energy when i went back on.

i think iâm a member of the legacy of the quelâdorei discord. iâd have to check. but i dont really go there, sinceâŠwell, its been awhile. i checked it the other day cause someone mentioned artworks but i couldnt find them, so gave up.
anyway, dont let them take our half elves to the maw and leave them there, mr. blizzard. the alliance high elves must be half elves mostly by now. if you abandon the silver covenant in the maw, our half elves will be stuck there at the same time. dont do it. mercy etc
It seemed very clear that the story was going to an end of the faction war, and players being able to choose their faction, to a greater or lesser extent. There was the alliance/horde symbol showing up next to our characters in the login screen, lightbound undead friendly with alliance leaders, nightelf undead, more Valeera, the blood elf friend of Varian, in Alliance cutscenes, a narrative path to peace, or continued conflict, if the player wanted either, and letâs not forget Blizzard trolling alliance High Elf fans by literally surrounding the player with them as soon as you zone into Arathi Highlands. It all seemed to indicate you would be able to choose race, then faction. This furthers Blizzâs goal of âplay with your friendsâ, regardless or server, level, or FACTION, and may appease Alliance raiders who have such a disparity with Horde raiders.
But they seem to have chickened out of pulling the trigger on this change.
well it has its own problems, such as some races being treated poorly or some race/class combos, because of nearly 15 years of tribalism.
i suggested they solve the elf problem by just making a third faction composed of nothing but elves and give them a copy of suramar as their capital city, complete with districts designed to represent the elf race in question. then we could visit each other via the swan boats. hehe.
problem is, thatâd be the biggest faction in the game. lol

And whatâs with people reading one post in a series and just deciding to post random arguments at me that have nothing to do with the post they are responding to?
I was talking there about the idea of whether or not you could claim as a fact that there were absolutely no lore reasons against having high elves on the alliance. I am taking the extreme stance of âNo, there are lore things that appear to be concerns, and without knowing what the writers think, itâs opinion either way you goâ
I do not like the end of the faction war, I do not agree with the arguments that similar races shouldnât be on factions, but the factions themselves I like / conflict. One of the biggest things in SWTOR I was disappointed with was this weird 5 year jump where factions sort of went away and we all became an alliance, now itâs in some weird stage where they wanna bring factions back and u can choose what to do but they sorta are stuck with people like their alliance now and some wanting factions back.
