The High Elf Love Thread đŸ„°

Adding more races won’t fix fundamental issues that the game has had for years, that requires the devs to actually go back and see what worked during previous versions of the game to apply to the current instead of continuing systems that everyone hates. Putting more elves in will not draw in millions of players; Horde players don’t care about high elves, I don’t even think most Alliance players care about them.

Never happening. The game is built for two factions, you can’t shoehorn a third in when the world and PvP are both designed for red vs. blue and not red vs. blue vs. purple and have been so for 15 years. A third faction being added is about as likely as all races being able to be any class on any faction, as in not likely at all.

You know. Void Elves use the High Elf/Blood Elf model.

Why is having a fair skin tone that important? When that is among the only differences?

It’s not important, at least to me. What is important is that they used Blood Elves to create them. They should have just turned the Silver Covenant voidy on accident instead.

I want the High Elf lore to be built on, followed up, resolved, whatever. But Void Elves are literally in a lore void. The best thing you can do for them is piggy-back on Blood Elf lore, but that is just borrowing from another and wholly unsatisfying to someone who cares more about the story than appearances.

They used Blood Elves because the Silver Covenant is a minority faction within Dalaran with barely 20 members to its name? Also because it ties in better with the faction war, and Alleria’s/Drak’theron’s past?

Blood Elf lore is High Elf lore. Again, why does the previous color of their eyes matter?

Right? They expect us to like Void Elves? We’re Alliance players, and the most defining part of their story is how they were with the Horde. They’ve done absolutely nothing worthy of note since their conception. How long until we start getting named NPCs? Lmao. Outside of basically being forced to join the ALliance, they’d have no reason to even give a damn about us.

Magister Umbric, Alleria Windrunner. The 8.0-8.1 war campaign?

Faction assaults? Zuldazar, Vol’dun? The suicide attack on Nazmir?

They’ve done alot.

Their appearance literally only matters to you antis. I still haven’t seen anyone request High Elves simply due to their appearance.

Our Alliance High Elves do not share the same lore as the current Blood Elves. They did until a few years ago, but they no longer share the same story. Void Elves share the same story as BLood Elves, and we still have them, too. Your argument doesn’t make sense because of the existence of Void Elves.

You literally only named two npcs. The rest are nameless background filler, which, according to you antis, doesn’t mean anything. You have all said that, “High Elves are only background filler for Alliance, so they don’t count.”. High Elves have heaps of named NPCs serving with the Alliance though.

The lore between them basically boils down to a minor political spat. Helves are still allowed Pilgrammage and whatever else, and probably can rejoin belf society just fine.

Sunwell was purified and people redeemed.

You just want to play your fair skinned elves without being surronded by Greenskins.

That’s one more than High Elves. Who did you have outside of Vareesa again who is remotely relevant?

Noone. That’s who.

We only have one named High Elf?

The lore between them basically boils down to; Getting exiled for not agreeing with Lor’themar, staying with the Alliance, and some of them willingly choosing to beat their addiction to the Sunwell, breeding with the Alliance and, “diluting their bloodline”, having Lor’themar come back and offer a few High Elves a place in Silvermoon again, only to reject him and basically laugh in his face. There’s literally so much more too.

Silver Covenant, Northrend, 7th Legion there are more then 20 my friend, also I dont think Quel’dorei would have anything to do with the Horde or the Sin’dorei after Theramore. But i wont discuss it here since this is the:

Has opened portals.

Barely a true void elf, but sure. She’s sat on ship all expansion

They summoned undead dinos. The Dark irons have also did things in the war campaign, don’t pretend that one thing is a lot.

That was a bunch of different races, mostly Humans and Dwarfs, all lead by a Lightforged Draenei.

And you’ve done a lot of reaching.

You can pretend Void Elves are cool and lore filled all you want, no one here is fooled, we know you only bow to Void Elves when it suits your anti-High Elf narrative.

No one can be impressed with a race that has 0 build up or story, they look cool, that’s kinda it.

Even if Blizzard simply attached a single High Elf enclave to Void Elves, it would greatly improve their lore. Why can’t Alleria recruit her kin in the Allerian Stronghold? Better yet, why wouldn’t she?

what does this even mean?

theres 2 in the 7th legion currently. every single playable alliance race can spawn in a 7th legion uniform during assaults but guess which one cant

as for the SC, again, they dont even live in alliance territory. they live in dalaran, a city open about its neutrality. they are pledged to the kirin tor not the alliance and tied up with its neutrality

i just went there on my druid who did zero endgame during wrath, everything was neutral(surprise! not)

https://imgur.com/a/CQ5jbMy

dalaran was co founded by the high/blood elves and humans

it is beholden to the SIX not the ALLIANCE. some of the high councils members have included dragons, humans(ofc) and blood/high elves(ofc). dragons like korialstrasz, who krasus’ landing flight path is named after where he would enter the city, and high/blood elves like prince kaelthas and aethas sunreaver. sunreaver enclave is the only place with elven architecture, elven statues reflecting the people who lived there. its where the sunreavers lived and kael held court

the SC wouldnt even exist if the horde never came to dalaran. everything we see in game confirms the SC put dalaran and their homeland first before the alliance and outside of the game we have development commentary confirming there are no more alliance high elf hubs. claiming they are alliance aligned is nothing but your fanfictions

You’ve used that same argument millions of times, and we keep proving it wrong, then you change the subject, then, eventually, you come back to this. Why? Do you think saying stuff like, “Hut Elves”, “Two NamED HiGh ElVes in exisTEnce” and all the other random things you call High Elves adds to your argument or something?

Here are two SC members in ALliance territory, who are hostile towards Horde players. They’ll attack you on sight.

https://imgur.com/a/Sl7xQp9

Blizzard could have used all the Worgen or Humans to come here, but they specifically chose High Elven SC members. Blizzard chose undead to hold the Horde version of the Dalaran portal, who you can’t even kill as ALliance players. They don’t even attack Alliance players. You can’t interact with them as an Alliance player.

So again, a list of all the High Elves in the game regardless of their affiliation with either faction, as I see that that list includes an elf that hires horde players to kill alliance troops. I mean, good work in the person who compiled it for the effort, but doesn’t really change anything, especially as you’re trying to deflect from the point that there are less and less of them showing up in game as time progresses by actually proving the point as you look at the sharp decline in that list.

Sure it does. Someone says there are “2 High Elves” and I just proved that wrong.

Sounds like you don’t like all the evidence that justifies their playability to me.

Currently there’s not 50 million right in your face every single second of the day, so there’s only 2 of them alive.
