The High Elf Love Thread đŸ„°

So ill ask you then Reno, everything Ion put out in that video is fully accepted by you when it comes to High Elves?

i think there’d be factional issues during LFD or LFR. people who literally hate players of the opposite faction, would kick them from groups/raids/dungeons. not sure it’d work out.

Hrmmmmm. It did work out decently for Elder Scrolls.

how much money you want to bet every helfer would run around with a blue portrait blood elf?

If people kick others out for joining in there groups because of a race they’re playing, then those people are idiots.

dude how many times are you gonna link this fanfiction? just because someone takes the time to put together a video on youtube and adds their commentary doesnt immediately elevate that commentary to something substantial. there has to be something to it. there is NONE of that in this video that hasnt been dealt with before. its just another fanfiction spiel that recycles nearly every single point that has been debated in these threads and more often than not, refuted

its mostly an attack on ion accusing him of being unfit for his job and the usual horde bias because he didnt give you a carbon copy of a horde race. he accuses ion of being poor on the lore despite the fact development came to the conclusion that high elf = blood elf as a team and that they literally have staff who are experts on lore. we can go back to metzen and jeff kaplan saying the same thing that a high elf = blood elf. linking this video likes its some kind of trump card is a joke

That’s already happening with Mechagnomes and Vulpera. Players with 0 neurons shouldn’t be taken into account when discussing things like this. I mean, once this guy tried to kick me because of my transmog, that doesn’t mean we should ban transmog altogether

Yeah. Blood Elves are High Elves.

But that doesn’t mean I don’t know which section of High Elves are being requested. I understand completely this point but that doesn’t change the fact that I think Blood Elves are High Elves.

If I had money to bet, I would imagine a lot of people would purchase the option.

As many times as you guys use the Misinformation video Ion put out.

I remember being vote-kicked out of several dungeons on my Night Elf monk for being Oceanic, since my Monk is on Frostmourne. Kicking someone for a ridiculous reason is a pretty low and stupid thing to actually do.

its likely that players who made up the alliance faction, would find they wouldnt be able to run dungeons or raids with the grouping tool because former horde faction players would boot them for being their former enemy or for having subpar racials

Ofc we would - even if they still wouldn’t be the elves we want, they at least would make it way easier for us to roleplay a HE in comparison with velves.

Isn’t that an admittance its about looks then not lore?

No, it’s an admittance that Alliance Blood Elves would be an acceptable compromise.

This is why I suggested, why not allow us to chose the faction that we’re going to take part off as any race. The devs were the ones originally who screwed up for Pandaren, but that was the devs fault. They should’ve been prepared for a full story of a race to be neutral instead of ended it with the expansion and killing it off.

Compromise was void elves Leinadh.

note the word 'roleplay" in his sentence. roleplaying a high elf while playing a blue person with dark pink hair is immersion breaking. haha

So your point is that it’s even been possible for the past 12 years with the Horde receiving Blood Elves but, impossible now that we have the perfect way to add them in with Allied Races, after the initial races they’ve already had plan for the 2 years BFA has been active.

Who says I don’t have one?

And you think 2nd grade “I know you are but what am I” deepens your point? :joy:

Maybe for those who wanted helves because of the looks, but not for those of us who want helves because of the lore. Give me playable Void High Elves or even Wretched High Elves and rest assured I wouldn’t create a single Alliance Blood Elf should factions be removed or loosened.

I find it unlikely for Blizz to add another Blood Elf AR to the Alliance before the Horde gets one or even another Blood Elf AR at all.

What I do find likely is Velf changes.

are you telling jokes too? what lore? the SC are exactly what they seem to be, a legacy group reflective of the tiny number of thalassian elves that did not remain with their people as they joined the horde and sought refuge with in dalaran. the race is already playable. i cant tell if you are being serious
