In 2025, healing should evolve away from needing to babysit unit frames. I want to stare at the 3D world as I play, not some 2D representation of information.
Mistweaver is the only healer currently that has a strong option for doing this. It is by far the best mechanically designed healer in the game right now.
No, it’ll weed out the healers who handicapped themselves with addons and we’ll see you in Midnight.
Because it is spam with all the other threads about this.

Not a healer main nor do i dabble in healing. And yet everything you have said, i can concur to a small deg. Before i got Vuhdo, it was ‘‘click your frames, mouse to BOP, click on BOP’’ for me.
And even then if something happens and the click did not registered? Yet that bop would be on me. Same for LOH etc.
And i used Vuhdo for both prot and ret. With this i can cleanse, freedom, LOH, BOP, SW (in PVP) Whatever utility i am suppose to be used.
WITH a constant frame up for whatever i am doing.
Blizz provides non of these capabilities natively. Yes click casting is a thing now but spells sometimes have to be in a macros etc and then bind to a specific spot?
Vuhdo? All i need is to key in the name of the spell at whatever shortcut i want it to be. Simple and ez. Even support things like scroll up and down. Which is great.
When i saw the healing impacts of the addon nukes i knew it will affect me personally as a ret/prot due to the playstyle i have gotten used it.
I am able to manually click ur frame, click LOH faster then alot other healers can react. I can continue to do that now. But Vuhdo makes this alot easier and frankly, i dun see why ppl would choose to go the manual clicking way. It’s just a mouse over ur frame and a middle mouse click for me. My LOH can arrive faster then the victim can react sometimes now.
This key customization is painful to lose to say the least.

Yeah idk why anyone would heal like that, especially since mouseover casting is built into the game and just needs to be enabled in the options. No reason to select anyone via your raid frame when you can just hover over them. No need for mouseover macros anymore either.

For me, it’s mouseover the party frame. Right now Blizz is unable to replicate this function of giving me a party frame even when i am solo so i can continuing using party frame mouse over healing with spells dedicated to to mouse clicks.
I dun want to nor can i heal effectively with mouse over + button press. My set up is such that everything i need has to do with mouse clicks, left click for FoL, right click for WoG, middle click for LOH, Crtl left click for BOP, scroll up for Freedom etc.
So the innate blizz click casting is not for me either. Either that or i am missing/misunderstanding something.

I think you can do all of this except you might need to add a modifier for FoL and WoG instead of just spamming the left and right click
Which is exactly my point, i can do everything i needed with vudho but when it comes to Blizz UI suddenly there’s restriction. Things like smart brez too is a thing. Am i supposed to add another bind to that now too?

If healing is as bad as op said, it may not be an apocalypse, for normal and heroic but m+ pugs will see a shortage of healers like tanks.
Idk what that is, i just have brez bound to a key and then brez the person who died. If its something that auto targets and brezs, then yeah thats gone and for good reason lol

I asked Blizzard over and over for a solo raid frame when they were first implementing all the UI modifications in dragonflight alpha/beta but no dice.
I don’t know why it would be so hard to add a solo raid from option. Doesn’t seem like it should be much effort.
I have my UI setup around my raid frames which I also use for parties and it doesn’t translate well when I can’t have that for solo play as well.
Nothing game breaking about having a solo raid frame and it streamlines the UI and makes it consistent across group sizes.
Please blizzard, if you are taking away addons, now’s the time for a solo raid frame option.

Oh… tracking Brez’s across group or raid… Does the LoLCD manager do tthat?
Been watching a couple of friends age and neurological condition out of being able to effectively heal hard content and it’s been very sad.
The core problem is the dance dance action RPG this game is morphing into requires too much focus to also be “flying by instruments” on your UI.
And it looks like they’re keeping the dance dance action RPG and throwing WoW away. But I don’t know how they do that with healing unless they somehow take the whack a mole healthbar aspect of healing out of the game.
And when you got healers with over a decade of experience and personalized UI evolution that allows them to heal in the action RPG dance dance, anything different is going to be a hard sell.

People that exclusively play DPS have no concept of what it takes to endure the thankless role of healer.
Without “combat information” being available on healing bars, it’s going to be an absolute cluster fudge.
Without visual and audio cues to incoming damage, it’s going to be an absolute cluster fudge.
Anti-addons is the new Anti-flying.
The developers simply do not play this game to understand what’s needed.
