they are probably going well it worked in classic. but even then you sprung for the cost to buy it. as yeah…you use CC for oh crap moments.
Like rogue. You can not buy blind. Its Not advised…but you could.
even in pve its useful. more than once my rogue in outland has popped the blind to slap a band aid on to clear a bad mob pull and vanish on cd.
mobs dead, I lived…a good day.
Or people that don’t like retail can wait for “future” classic versions without stupid amounts of systems… or can uninstall all together too, it’s healthy to let it go as well.
Not sold on the talent trees being back at all, it seems cheap way of removing things and throw them to a panel and be like “hey look we got them back!” not buying it.
The story went to hell after legion. I will keep mentioning this because it’s my opinion for me the story ended on 7.3.5 minus sargeras stab (that apparently azeroth is complete fine after a titanic sword on her body and it’s still stuck there) yeah bfa and shadowlands is something I still can’t understand how they did the story like that.
More power to you if DF has everything you like in a new expansion. I personally would rather play classic as painful as it is with the gdkps and massive gold selling I will take that over the current direction.
It’s new. Some people think it’s cool to hate on whatever wow brings out ![]()
Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think even classic had interrupts (like Pummel and Kick) on the talent trees.
Easy to do when you are getting 1 patch a year, plenty of time to prep on what to hate next.
Dragonflight is looking awesome, cannot wait.
No but they cost money which can be tight till like…50.
it makes some dungeons fun.
why don’t you have this?
no money for it.
My play around ret paladin is missing a few core skills. Just no money for them till I care to mail her some from the outland rogue. trying to be poor for now. either the test BE or draenei paladin is getting 70 boost. so not looking to spend skill money on them.
Only thing this system needs to take off for me is no consequences crap.
it needs cheap if not free respec. and easy respec.
otherwise this is doa and it going to be world of wowhead. or icy veins. or guide site x lol.
sort of like…classic for noobs. New folks don’t have the 10’s of gold to change for raid/dungeon/pvp daily. so you find a recommended tree and run with it till 70 then making the gold to experiment.
looking into talent trees now for tbc and yea they’re baseline w/ some class have “improve” kicks
Don’t pay attention, they are professional haters lol. It’s what they do. Just enjoy it when it comes out.
What do you mean no content ?
Do you expect them to give us all the info from A to Z before it launches ?
Do you want to know the ending before they give us the opening?
THey have already said they are not going to let everything be tested or leaked so that the surprise factor can return to the game .
Less content to test doesn’t mean actual less content , it means they are going to let some stuff go untested like some raid bosses or story lines.
Do you remember that WoD exists prior to Legion?
No, Legion was not a bad expansion, it was just sightly above mediocre imo. I feel the only reason why people see it as a good expansion is because it came after WoD.
THey never said they wouldn’t put a system of any kind . They said they were getting away from player power systems. Dragon riding isn’t a player power system
The main problems are:
You do realize that by most peoples standards the last couple of expacs have been worse than expected and shadowlands launched and for the first year they didnt listen to any suggestions from the players again just like BFA. To say that its ridiculous that df is getting hate is just silly and disjointed from the reality of being a wow consumer at the end of shadowlands which is suppose to be the end of a 20 year story.
A expac that delivered 2 patches over 2 years, some of the worst wrap up of a story in all franchise history while also having really poorly implemented content, one year of not listening to feedback and not pulling the ripcord and then they show DF which only has 2 new features apart from the norm which is a new race\class which have not been received well and guild wars 2 flying.
and you say why are fans frustrated? like come on where have you been in the last 5 years.
Blizzard got tons of polite, constructive feedback in both Shadowlands and Battle for Azeroth alpha & beta.
And they ignored every word of it.
Another bullet point was missing from your list:
Yea that is why it took a full year to pull the ripcord (let people swap covernants and play other specs), or a full year to fix azerite armor, or a full year to fix legendaries in legion. Because people didnt have constructive criticism and the devs just have no idea why participation numbers in there game are going down.
Its obvious devs made those decisions because either they dont want to be proven wrong, they want the player to play a certain way or they want to hold off fixes to keep people playing longer. Its not a communication issue at all, there are plenty of instances where the devs just dont agree with what most people think…
Like when they said covernants is going to be a RP thing and more people are going to pick what they think is cool. But we did shadowlands and over 80% of people picked whatever covenant was bis.
^ Yep.
And the problems with those systems were repeatedly talked about for months in alpha & beta.
In Shadowlands beta, the blues even STARTED A THREAD specifically asking us for covenant feedback. They asked for it. And then they ignored all of the feedback entirely.
We told them.
And we told them.
And then we told them again.
And they simply did not care.
I loathed WoD - and was probably one of the loud speakers in being discontent with the expansion, yet I didn’t let that carry with me to the next expansion. It’s not an excuse to hate on anything onward before it’s even released - you can have skepticism and caution, sure - but not outright hatred.
So how is hating on things going to fix any of that?
