I mean I’d hope they take a path like this, the factions have been at war forever and all of a sudden are going to join forces, you better believe there’s hardliners on both sides against it. Garrosh loyalists still in the horde for example could splinter off and do their own thing and there’s many more examples on both sides where we can get some really good short stories dealing with the threats.
Instead of this never ending dragon ball Z thing where each expansion we might die by the BIGGER bad than the one before, this time the threat could be death from 1000 cuts via small bands of break aways. This also gives lore reason to have PvP after the factions essentially join forces.
Turalyon will do nothing wrong!

If you want a proper story about war, hire someone who has been to war to HELP write it. The talentless hacks they have writing for them now are pretty weaksauce. Christ on a pony wearing a tutu, they have enough money to hire someone decent like Salvatore or Brooks. That 18 million pittance they paid out for that lawsuit was just a drop in the bucket.
Semper Fi!

The faction conflict should have gone away long ago. It’s long in the tooth and isn’t good for the story. PvP conflict should exist as separate groups that come and go, but aren’t based on a rigid, inflexible “two major faction” system. For example, you could have a “Nessingwary vs DEHTA” conflict, where you can choose a side and duke it out vs other players that way. Battlegrounds could easily be relegated to “Chromie time” scenarios, where those conflicts have been resolved, but she shows you “how it was when they fought”.
Having two sides hate each other for no real valid reason anymore is just silly at this point. Why should a Tauren and Night Elf be at war?

I really hope so. Sylvanas’ storyline turned out to be such a dud, and I’m kind of over the Horde playing the “bad guy” anyway. The whole point of the end of WCIII going into vanilla was the moral gray of Horde/Alliance hostilities. Betewen Garrosh and Sylvanas, that has shifted too far.
I’m still a little disappointed they didn’t take the opportunity of this expansion to do a full reset on the world. The Cataclysm world content is more than a little stale. There is so much they could do with a universe reorigination to create a more evergreen world experience.

Man, that would be the easiest RP choice I could EVER make in a game. Like easier than the ‘Hug Tali’ or ‘Stab Kai Leng’ choice.

he probably did not know you were horde >->
I hope this isn’t the case but I’m betting that turalyon is just going to be depicted as a mild, nice guy.
I do get mistaken for a Draenei often.

Salvatore would be cool as hell.

The problem with Warcraft is that it’s old. It’s difficult to get interesting new blood who might be interested for it or might want to dedicate to it. Most people who would take that job would want to be creative or want to bring in their style.
W2 version is pretty cool, the 1000 years in The Nether paranoid version not so much.
