Is there any reason why the guide feature isnt account wide? Those of us who opt in to be guides cannot be in newcomer chat while leveling alts. I get that being a guide in the first place requiring level 90 is a good thing. But on alts why is this the requirement? We should be able to help out in newcomer chat while we aren’t level 90 on alts. Just because we are on an alt does not make us qualified to answer the same questions we see in newcomer chat.
Thank you!

I have wondered this as well.
I was a Guide for a while. I didn’t do much there, but I experienced it. I felt it should have been easy to turn it on or off temporarily on any character. There were times on my max level guide character when it was just an annoyance, because I was busy, and there were times on my alts when I could have responded.
I can’t find any place where Blizzard have explained their reasons. I don’t think Blizzard care much about the system; they have it, so they can tick that box, and they don’t seem to look at it much beyond that - no tweaks, no incentives. no activity, no discussion.
