Are you going to take that loot and throw it on the ground?

Which is what you have completed
10 normal natharia boss kills and you’re given 3 choices of loot from natharia normal mode
Now if you killed 7 heroic bosses as well as the 10 normal ones, your first two choices are now heroic natharia pieces while the 3rd is normal gear still
To get the most out of the vault you have to do all that you can to get the most slots available to pick
6 choices to pick is much better than deciding on two if you do only m+ and raiding the minimum
You’re basically doing BFA weekly chests doing the minimum
i got two items i already have, and 1 item with absolutely horrendous stats for my spec in the slot that my 225 legendary shoulders occupy. 2nd week in a row where every item im offered is unusable.
feels great, thanks blizzard. surely this will help me overcome the crawl to ilvl 200.
Did 9/9 this week and still got underwhelming choices. Plus, even if you get 9/9, it’s likely that some of those are gonna be 200 ilvl and some are gonna be 220 ilvl. And there’s a good chance that 220 is gonna be useless to you.
Arenas are a different beast all together.
I suck at them. For keys its hit or miss, im trying to build a more static key group myself atm.
Uhhh I got 3 slots in the vault.
213 belt, 220 bracers, 216 weapon
Took the bracers so now I’m guaranteed bracers off the World Boss, and Huntsman heroic this week. It’s still the largest upgrade regardless at least.
I like the system, but I don’t like the feeling I’m making the wrong choice every time depending on what drops after I choose a piece. I picked up a ring 2 weeks ago, and that week in the raid and M+ all I was looting after was rings. It’s almost like a gut punch. I need a shield so badly at this point…
I hope Artificer is merciful this week.
Even with the variety of choices you can earn it still keeps that bad rng feeling that the BfA m+ chest did. While I can get something awful for free, the guy next to me is getting his BiS for free. I’d honestly rather just have flat loot drops without a loot protection gimmick.
Great Vault = PoS
Or
PoS > Great vault
I just explained it to you. Feel free to read it again until you understand it better this time.
I had a weapon from first vault ever and a 213 one today again.
Of course not. I’m an enchanter I took that loot and made a shiny eternal crystal out of it!
Except it’s not, loot was significantly decreased. The great vault was designed to look like a cherry on top that would justify this, but it doesn’t. It’s just another iteration of a system (weekly chest) that was inherently bad. We are slapping a bandaid on a bad system that should have never existed. We are justifying the drop in loot by adding choices to the weekly chest. Except the weekly chest is a casino where the odds are not in our favor as well. It’s just two bad systems stacked on one another for the same bottom line. The business guys say increase time played, so that’s what we do. work work zug zug
If you don’t see it that way, you just don’t want to.
I’d be willing to bed a large majority of players would be more in favor of the BFA system being returned.
Getting a decent piece of gear from the weekly chest WAS a cherry on top. Using the weekly to justify lowering loot for a chance at decent vault gear is not. It is quite literally trading our time for a casino.
Sure, loot was decreased from BFA to Shadowlands. But in the contexts of Shadowlands, it extra loot. Literally an extra piece of loot for doing content you’re already doing. No two ways about it.
RNG is RNG, just like it’s always been. I genuinely don’t see what the problem is.
I disagree, I’d rather get nothing than get bombarded by bad drops.
Shadowlands gearing is literally fine lol
That is exactly what the great vault does, it bombards you with bad drops and side-grades. At least in BFA you could get gear more than once weekly.
Until it doesn’t lol. It has the chance to drop any raid item in the game at an appropriate item level. It’s all up to RNG, just like it’s always been.
I don’t know about you, but my level of gear is totally fine lol. I mainly do LFR/normal, and I’m at 190. That’s definitely an appropriate item level for this content.
I see a lot of heroic raiders sitting in the low 200s. That is also appropriate for the content they’re running.
We don’t need more loot.
Except Blizzard didn’t promote it as “extra loot”. It’s a mechanic that’s supposed to guaranteed loot for those that get unlucky with RNG in dungeons. It’s supposed to guarantee upgrades if any are available.
You can rationalize all you want, but this is all feedback from the player base to Blizzard from people that aren’t happy with the implementation. What is even the point of berating people for disliking it?
If you aren’t happy then stop paying them?
Why are you continuing to play if you aren’t happy? I don’t get you people
I’m paying them, so I figure my feedback is valid. What part of that don’t you get?
Why would they make changes if you’ll pay them regardless? The best way to make change is with your wallet. Don’t pay them if you are dissatisfied.
How would they know why I stopped paying, if I don’t tell them? Your logic is grand…
Sounds like every other weekly loot chance OP. You didn’t utilize the extra chances at obtaining an upgrade by not opening vault slots and got burned. Too bad.
