Dropped ret/prot for pvp. Been playing, playing other classes and… Wow… having a blast! Il miss my pally. But maybe next expac they will get a rework? Who knows.

Yea possibly, but its hard to say. There has been a ton of feedback/input/negativity here and on the beta post. And not much response from bliz to fix issues and short comings. Weak buffs. Seems like most of the people happy with paladin right now are only mythic + players and some raiders.
Classes like warrior gained ALOT- warbringer with doubletime with stun with leap with spear of bast. Dks get gargoyle with abomb, etc… Ret lost laotl early in alpha, nerfs to holy shield for prot, also forcing a bunch of points just to get steed, nerfing prot dam etc… not many playstyle options to chose with pally specs and tuning forces you into certain talents anyways.

What makes ypu think they will even touch the trees? Is not like the spec doesnt work. Again blizzard has shown that your spec could have one button to press and you will be balanced around it to be middle of the pack. That is where ret has always dweled so there is nothing that guarantees a rework.
Also because they would have to touch the class tree and they wont do that since prot and holy always see play and are usually the most valuable specs no matter what.
They said they would, but you know how good blizzards word is.
To be honest ret was in a worse spot in shadowlands s1 and they did very little. At the start of season 3 they slapped a 15%? Buff to divine storm I think and thats it. So yea we might get buffed, dont mean we will get talents reworked that I dont believe for a second.
And to be honest I dont think rets problems can be fixed with just buffs. They need to scrap both trees and I already said why they will not do that. Sadly.
I’mma honestly just **** with Holy this patch. The melee build I got going is actually really fun, and it’ll feel more complete once we got those 5 class talent points. That said, unless something major happens between now and march, when my time expires, I’ll probably be skipping this expansion.

When they once again nerfed ret a few days ago with dusk/dawn nerf?
All that keeps trending are nerf after nerf
