I don’t disagree that players need to get off their high horses and just play the game. Nobody need to get the torches and pick forks out anytime their favorite game mode isn’t the center of attention 24/7.
But let’s be real here, the players who are consistently in everyone else’s grill about the game come from a single game mode demographic.
Anyone beyond KSH is looking for that 1% (Or the thrill). They know what they’re doing, so yeah, they’re probably more forgiving with each other.
10 on the dot though? Holy moly is it bad. Folks expecting 520 for a clear. Tanks getting squashed because they forget defensives. DPS not pushing a single interrupt. Parties only wanting top tier. It’s misery.
That’s fair. Usually I get stuck with quiet LA players. They’ll keep going until someone leaves. I don’t take it as good or bad really, but the run kinda says everything they don’t need to.
Well above, yes. In general the more players have shared expectation the less friction there’s going to be, people expect better in high keys, but they’re also more aware of the impact of a minor lapse in concentration as well as recognise their own shortcomings in similar situations.
Everyone messes up, and everyone bricks keys, the only time it’s ever a problem is if it’s consistent over multiple keys. Otherwise it’s just go next.
We are not living in a time were people will freely think for themselves anymore. They are going to give more weight to the people they feel have “power”. It is what it is, there is not going to be any self reflection going.
I’m pretty good at letting it roll off my shoulders at this point because I’ve seen enough of it across most of the multiplayer games I’ve ever played. I grew up in Starcraft chat rooms so for the better part mythic is quiet in comparison.
My response to that 2 key situation was to group up with the mage and run another dungeon. Which was timed. Unfortunately I also suck on my mage so couldn’t help them much.
Actually, and Im not an M+ player, but this makes perfect sense.
The obnoxious tryhards who cant hack higher levels of play stay in the lower ranks…and THESE are the annoying toads that come down into old content to showboat and cause pointless wipes with that “MUH FACEROLLZ” crap, lol
While the ACTUAL good M+ players move into higher content, leaving the dregs behind who will never be good at the content.
I wonder if the experience is different depending on role. I tank almost all of my runs and this season a lot of them have been pugs, though I usually end up friending/btagging someone every 5 runs or so. However, I’ve not run into any ranger. Not invalidating your experience - I believe it - but just throwing mine in, too.
Its more an individual personality thing.
So if you didnt succeed at X, based on your posts in here, I think youd stay chill and just try again.
The ones Im talking about feel the need to take it out on something. Usually that something is to come down to leveling dungeons, announce how great they are, then proceed to cause three wipes in an EASY dungeon because they are so ragey and full of themselves they cant comprehend the possibility that yes, four fearing mobs CAN cause a wipe even in leveling dungeons if youre playing entirely stupid.
They are about 50% of the reason i hate running group content anymore.
I slowly learnt my lesson and if I want the mount I make sure I get it done in the first 3 weeks. I’d rather be able to pace myself at like a key or two every week but its just not worth the average late season player in that cutoff range.
Those are the best times not the worst. Taking 30 to 45 minutes to clear a dungeon, struggle, and finally get through it is awesome. Going through boring content getting feared all over the place is just annoying dungeon design tho.
I’ve done healer the past two seasons. Both were struggles. Last season as Mistweaver. This one as Holy Pally (Yeah I regret it).
Some lovely quotes.
heals? (Everything on CD)
healer? (Everything on CD)
chains?
press kick (To the group in general)
healer cleanse (It’s on CD…)
interrupt (To the group in general)
Last season my Mistweaver pretty much carried groups with the control/support it has. This time around it was a nightmare. I’ll never play low tier healer again.
lol…I dont mind taking some extra time but those pointless wipes are a bit irritating…especially when you know its some self aggrandizing hozen turd who is just doing it because hes an abject failure at being the M+ hero he sees himself as lol
Ah yes, the condescending “heals?” Imagine if we could italicize chat. +10 to snark. Sorry you had to experience that.
If you want, here’s my btag. If our schedules click maybe we can run some? I’m not really pushing, though I’d like to, just doing 8’s-10’s mostly. GL either way!
