The Gallivantin Geezers - Alliance-NA

The Gallivantin’ Geezers: Now Accepting New “Relics”
Are you tired of “pro” guilds that treat a video game like a second mortgage? Do you prefer a leisurely stroll through a dungeon over a frantic sprint?

The Gallivantin’ Geezers are looking for more folks who enjoy high-quality banter and low-stress gaming. We’ve been there, done that, and probably forgot where we put the trophy.

Our motto: Wrinkled but Relenteless.

Our Senior Services:
Tactical Porch Sitting: High-tier social chatting and “back in my day” stories.

Gentle Gallivantin’: Casual questing, dungeons, and sight-seeing at a sensible pace.

Early To Bed: We play for fun, but we’re usually tucked in by 10:00 PM.

Senior Tech Support: We’ll help you find your quest log (again).

Multi-Generational, Single-Speed: Family members and mature youth are welcome to join the porch sitting. We just ask that they bring a “vintage” soul—meaning they’re here for the chill vibes, the PG-13 chat, and don’t mind a 10:00 PM lights-out.

The Geezer Code:
Wash Out the Mouth: Keep the conversation PG-13. If your language is foul enough to melt poly-grip, take it elsewhere. No crude behavior or “locker room” talk. We aren’t afraid to use the virtual soap on anyone using offensive slurs or crude talk.

No Politics: We’re here to escape the news, not debate it. Keep the drama off the lawn!

Purely Social: We value the person behind the screen more than their gear score.

“We might have high ping and low reflexes, but our dad jokes are legendary.”

How To Apply:
We do ask that you are 40 years age or over as we really are a bunch of Geezers!

If you’re looking for a digital retirement home where the tea is hot and the vibes are chill, reply to this post or you can also find us via Guild Finder.

If you are Horde - Please use the below community link - https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/invite/x4XbAjpTEWV?region=US&faction=Alliance

Note: If we don’t reply immediately, we’re probably just taking a nap.

Note Note: Content we pursue - Housing, World Questing, Delves, Mount Runs, Transmog Runs, Achievement Runs, Non-WoW Game Nights (JackBox Party, WoWGEO, Poker, other), Shenanigans nights (completely randomized events). We also have a raid team, just keep in mind we are a little slower unless we were slipped a second vitamin for the day…

Note Note Note: For those who may be up passed 10:00PM, we do have a growing group of folks who play later at night! So, if you mix up the decaf with caffeinated coffee we’ve got you covered!"

I play alliance and horde on Kael’thas. But I am an ex night shift worker so I am playing late evenings. You got any night owls?

Hey there Aoi! We have a few folks on through the night, some who also get on and off through the night. During the mornings we average around 10-15 online. During prime time we average around 30 online.

Hi There!

It sounds like your group home is just what I am looking for!

I have been playing WOW, off & on, since BC.

I have done M+, in DF, prior to the move where M10 became the new M0. Only did a bit of raiding, because the guild did not have enough folks.

I don’t do PUGs, as I really like to be part of a cooperative guild group, so that you can learn the event and how your team members react and work!

Played Alliance for a long time and have a lvl 80 Resto druid that I could bring.

Resto Druid is favorite healer (I have played them all). I love to play healer and Druid was my 1st 70 in BC. In fact, I remember they were in Shadowmoon valley when they dinged.

My current guild is not active at this time, so I am looking for a new home

I play a lot from about noon to 6pm Central Time, as that fits the RL schedule.

If this sounds like a fit for your folks, please let me know. If not, no worries!

you sound exactly like what I am looking for. I am 54 and have been mostly a solo player since the burning crusade because every guild I joined was too intense. I enjoy learning and the experience. I have a 90 hunter and a couple of lower levels. I mostly play on Nazjatar this cycle and would love an invite. Melchizedek #11204

Hi there! Welcome to Azeroth! We don’t have many new players so that would be interesting! If you’re looking for a guild of older people who run at a different pace, look us up via Guild Finder.

If you would like to chat further, please look me up in-game as Dameryl-Dalaran, happy to help.

Tossed my name in the hat to join through the guild finder, very interested in what your doing. Old man here, frequent cloud yeller, dad joke aficionado. redoing my leveling journey at the moment, taking my team and reading everything and immersing myself in the world rather than point to point quest flying.

Hi Dameryl, I’ll be 69 next month and like what your trying to create for us Seniors. I have played the game since tail end of Vanilla, and I totally hate so called Casual guilds that suddenly go from non-benching in raids to benching their players. This is what happened in my last guild and I’m on the hunt again. Raiding is the only real activity I’ve ever enjoyed in the game (not a fan of M+ or delves really). I’m Ally on Stormrage, and my huntress is the only toon I raid w/ (have 4 alts and my horde huntress is in a friend’s guild on Garona that I don’t raid w/ either). My last guild was a horde one where we got to N V 5/6 & D 1/1, and they decided to start benching. So I’ve been hunting for a totally NON-benching, NON dps pushing, NON naming in raids, NON pressure, NO logs guild to raid w/. I like N/H w/ some light Mythic after that (NOT CE), but Mythic Raiding not taken too seriously. You try for 1st few bosses, & if you get them fine, if you don’t you just had fun trying. I want to ask you what raid days & times do you have in mind for your members that want to raid. I can only raid weekdays EST 2x per week 7-10pm EST (no later end time, husband still works til near end of April when he retires and he gets up for work at 3am), and weekends can’t do much because either my daughter and grandchild come over here or we visit them. If you have a schedule, I could use for raiding that fits me, then I would love to join your guild. I could also help you build a membership as high as you want. In the past, I’ve been a recruiter for 9 guilds total (some w/ 1000 members, and one was a 6 server guild where I recruited for them for Stormrage. I was a co-GM of a guild and a GM of my own guild for a brief period (gave that one up because I was supposed to have some surgery done at the time that would have had me laid up for 6 months, luckily didn’t need the surgery in the end, but had sold the guild off by then). There has been a great demand on recruitment forums over the past years for True Casual Non-benching, non-pressure guilds from the older players, so what your trying to build is great!

Hi there Laruin!
Thank you! It doesn’t take much to create a guild that can achieve many things.

This is more or less where we are at in Midnight. We’re doing the first few bosses and we’ll continue to have fun and grow.

Currently we raid Saturdays starting at 7PM EST and going for 2-3 hours (depending if anyone has fallen asleep at their desk or on the couch). We do normal and may enter Heroic at some point and time. We do have an item level requirement to join the raid team (220). This is so you can survive most hits while doing your tanking, healing, or damage. We also do not do any logging.

At this time we have over 220 members not including alts, we also have restrictions on who can join (age group) with some exceptions.

The Geezers are really about the heart of the guild. We are community first. The relationships and friendships we have formed are much more at the heart of what we do, regardless of content we may participate in.

If you would like to know more please let me know here or in-game, happy to help.

Dam

Thanks for the reply Dameryl. Unfortunately, weekends are just not good for me (Just was at a flea Market earlier today even, that my daughter had her crafting at), but I wish your guild well, because I know it’s going to be great one for seniors.

Hey there! Once the servers are back up, I’ll be sure to accept the invite.

Sounds like just the place, and right speed for me. I’m mid 50s, have been playing off and on since launch. I’m laid back and casual, but I like to occasionally challenge myself as long as it doesn’t get too stressful. Gotta keep that blood pressure down… I have mostly alliance toons, working a couple right now to get to 90, but shouldn’t take too long. It would be cross realm, but I’m not sure how much that matters now. I’ll send an app once the servers are back up.

Switched my main out here. Request should be from Greythane. The lock will be a future project. Demo looks fun now…
