The Future of Retail

old school gaming is in high demand

n how exactly would they do that? they don’t control third party voip systems

Er, NDA breaches can be litigated.

Hmm idk about this pantheon online is old school to the Tee yet i can’t see it being great with alot of players.

I think players just want proper style progression again and a world that still has some mystery to it. I can navigate Azeroth better than my home town.

I know it is cliche to say this, but you need to get a life.

It doesn’t mean anything at all.

Retail will be fine as that is where all the New content will be as well as the New features. Not the just the BFA features but, ALL of the features added since classic. Vanilla was great because there was nothing that could compete with it. Now it has to compete against 15 years of improvements. I played Vanilla I even beta tested Wow. I will log in and check out classic but, I am not fooling myself into thinking I will stay. Leveling was a completely different beast in Vanilla. Forming groups to do dungeons through general chat or guild chat, having to ride to the dungeons. Earning your attunements for Onyxia, Molten Core. Then forming the glorious 40 person raid, I did like the 40 person raids. Good luck to all of those that stick it out and are able to keep 39 others engaged long enough to keep progressing. Maybe if I find a well lead guild with good organization that knows how to manage DKP.

I will guess the hype will end somewhere between 2 and 4 months. Leveling is hard. After the hype ends the dedicated will soldier on and solid guilds will form from the ashes of the first wave. Classic will be fine, Retail will be fine. Up until World of StarCraft is released in 2030.

What does it matter. Why do we have this group saying this and another saying this. Does it matter? Play what you like and just leave it that.

Yeah, that is why I said it means nothing at all. Plus they are acting like Classic will affect Retail in anyway. It won’t affect anything but those playing Classic.

without some sort of proof you said something verbally it all falls apart, though. it simply becomes “he said that she said that her cousin said that a thing would happen!”

LAWL.

Check your spelling.

If Classic is wildly successful, it could mean a shift in dev resources at Blizzard. It could mean fewer content updates and expansions for retail.

Ah! There is that positivity and sunshine I was looking for!

Good catch!

Though now I am amusing myself thinking about someone being sued over talking about their pants.

Just keep trolling!

Never going to happen. They are not going to divert resources for a game that will stop progressing. If they add expacs, then it wont be Classic, and the whole point of the exercise will have been for nothing.

There is going to be fall off in the first few months, as those who never played it get bored. Then another fall off a few months later when people find it too difficult to get into groups to do simple things like dungeons.

Even further out, others will leave because they have ran AQ40 30 times and can no longer progress their characters.

Only the hard core will remain.

Well, that’s really beside the point. Not controlling means of communication means nothing in regards to an NDA. They’d never do it because I think having the gossip going increases hype… only pointing out the above.

No company controls means of communication (at least not fully), but that doesn’t have an impact on whether or not they feel a NDA is appropriate.

Yea but isn’t the reason Classic is there is because people don’t like the changes in retail so in that case there is very few resources they could add to keep the old Classic the same because if they change it people will complain so I doubt that will happen that much.

Wait…

You came and went off topic saying:

To which I pointed out your post history if almost one big list of insults and criticism. to which point you said.

I blew it off with a joke and then you follow up with.

I mean are we in Bizzaro world?

Sorry, but this is wrong.
