I’m glad this stupid post was flagged.

The time has come…for something amazing…see that parachute?
#PULLtheRIPcord.
I agree with Samtaya here, he’s not being aggressive with his stance, he’s admitting flaws that could be in the system and trying to get us to work on them productively. We don’t need to be adversarial in this conversation, let’s keep it civil on both sides, and we can continue our discussion.
And here is an example of someone lacking civility. Howabout instead of popping in here with an inflammatory post, you add something productive?
There is only one solution that will make covenants a fun choice. That is untying character power from covenants. As it stands right now I either choose a fun aesthetic, where odds are I won’t have the gameplay I want, or I can choose the gameplay I want, where odds are I don’t enjoy the aesthetic/story. This isn’t a fun choice, it’s the least bad choice, which isn’t fun. I feel like they don’t want covenants to feel like making the least bad choice, yet the way they set up the system forces a least bad choice, not a fun one.
Untying power from aesthetics is one of my favorite solutions, to be honest. I just wanna play the whole game rather than 25% of it. I’d even be more willing to do it 4 times over just to see the story because playing the game would feel more like a game to me.
And we have that source of information . It is the Beta Forums . We are getting information from the people in there testing .
What he’s saying is we don’t have all the information, most importantly the grind to get back into a covenant that you left. Anything we say about that right now is speculation. I’d prefer there was nothing at all getting in my way, but they really need to get the swapping mechanic in the game so we can get some feedback rolling on it, and fast.
Ahhh I see now that part of the conversation I did not know but the over all idea of we have information still holds true and if and when the covenant change ability hits Beta we will be able to get the info from there as well
They can correct me if I’m wrong, but that point has been brought up in other threads.
Gotta love how people have let themselves be duped by the 1% into thinking it affects everyone when it doesn’t.
#RemoveTheRipcord
How is this helpful? I’m not the 1% and I am capable of thinking for myself, thank you.
There are people from every kind of playstyle saying this new system will be unsatisfying and unenjoyable.
I haven’t seen the mechanic to return to a Covenant you’ve left. This is a failure on Blizzard’s part and needs to be shown and opened for testing. If it has been revealed, I’ll gladly check it out, but until then we’re still missing information.
We haven’t seen how groups respond to Covenant choices. We can guess that people will restrict who they group with based on prior data: this is already a thing based on class. Got it. But we don’t know how much this will exacerbate that problem, or if it will even wind up being as much of a factor as people think it will. We do have numbers for the abilities/soulbinds/legendaries currently available, and we can absolutely talk about where some are falling short or too far ahead, but that balance is independent of Covenants being locked or unlocked. You shouldn’t feel bad for this choice regardless of how strongly the system commits you to it.
“Please keep it civil in here.”
Is a literal joke coming from you LOL
Why? Where have I attacked anyone personally, rather than their arguments? What have I said to you that you feel demeaned you in any way?
Like I said to Froom I didn’t see that part but I expect when and if it does make it to the Beta we will be able to get the info from the Beta Forums.
Factions exist. If they open up covenants, hopefully xfaction is close behind it.
Sorry if you look at my profile you will see I am far from the 1 %
I just want to experiment and push my limits not because I want to be part of the 1 % but because I just want to better myself.
I may not reach excellence but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t strive for it . No one should ever be happy with average/ mediocre
