The Amani are dead.
Those that remain travel the seas, running as far as they can from a world that sees them as monsters and murderers. They are scattered - and most of them are alone. Those that traveled to Zuldazar laid claim to a false title - and all who saw them knew it.
But the great fortress remains.
And great it is - it is a city that rivals Silvermoon in size, and it extends deep into the sharp cliffs of the Eastern Kingdoms.
But no one has sent a sacrifice to the loa in many years. The lanterns lie dark, and the pyres mossy and overgrown. The pines climb like reaching fingers over the building, clawing at the sky like a last, desperate grab for life.
What to do with this place? The ghostlands are cleansed, the dead scar runs as the Throndroril river once again…but still this skeletal city looms over all as a reminder of some primal history.
And so the elves step foot into the halls of Zul’Aman, not as conquerers…but as timid explorers. Can they settle the halls of their ancient enemies? Turn this place of blood and beast into a refuge for their wartorn people?
The starved loa prowling the spirit realm will decide for them.

Ive been catching your stories lately and I really liked the C’thun one. I think Lorewise they are still there but are beat down like the Gurubashi. Blizz seems to want to expand on Zandalari lore later and Talanji has plans to unite all the trolls once more. The city just has no military power anymore but the Loa are still being worshipped as we saw in zuldazar.

I doubt the blood elves would be willing to settle in a former troll city.
If the Amani are well and truly driven out, it’ll probably just sit abandoned until nature reclaims it.

That’s a very good point! Goodness I haven’t ready shadows rising yet - I really should. Can’t talk about trolls without knowing what Talanji’s up to.

I may have to put that one on hold for a couple days - I need to catch up on some school work before I take another fly around.
But it’ll be out there! <3

Just curious why these are all being posted in GD, when there is a Lore section specifically created for them?

Becauuuuuuse…I wanna share what I see in the world with people who might not normally see it that way.
There’s this…wonderful moment that sticks with me to this day. I was questing through darkshore, with the window open on a rainy day. Evening was falling, and a light gust of humid air rushed into my room. And…in that one moment, I felt like I was there. I could hear the waves crashing on the beach to my right, and feel the tempest constantly building around me.
I find moments like that all over the game - and I like to write stories about them - and my hope is that maybe it’ll help some people see it that way too.
Because even if the mechanics are sucky and the systems aren’t too fun, the world is always captivating.

If it was in the story forum, the replies would be about how Blizzard is racist because the European humans and elves are glorified for displacing the native Central American/Jamaican people.
i agree with you.
in fact, i’d also take it a step further, and say that most players (from noob to pro) do actually care about world stuff like this…if there was more effort on blizzard’s part even for moments in the Azeroth world, it would make things feel like an MMO again.
at least to me
(btw i’m not gonna forget about the Feralas thing) hehe

Some light landscaping. A few severed tusks here, a head there. Remember, trolls are resources, not people!
