do you know what the true irony is here, the best way to stop min maxing culture would be to close the API and give players no access to damage information aside from timing them selves killing raid dummys.
Maybe you should take advice from yourself? It doesn’t revolve around what you want either. DPS meters won’t be banned from this game because people are actively trying to push content at end game and the DPS and HPS of the group is important to pushing as far as you can.
If this game limited DPS and HPS depending on your class like FFXIV then that’s a whole other argument to be had about DPS meters but it doesn’t. Everyone is competing for the top spot of the DPS and the people who don’t perform or don’t perform well because of the lack of gear, skill or care for the meters aren’t pushing this content. They are doing what they want to do whether that’s story, RP, crafting, PvP, WPvP or playing with friends.
Granted they need to add player housing so I can do what I want most and that’s WPvP and decorating a place to call home lol.
Why are you pretending as if I am making the changes, I am saying what the devs are doing is right.
It is an rpg, the degenerate way of changing your build for boss 1 then boss 3 then boss 4 shouldnt be a thing and covenants achieve that to a great degree.
sounds like it’d make it all worse, actually.
So instead of at least some hard number to look at to invite or reject someone, Id have to kinda guess based on other numbers or acheivements instead.
My guess is the gap between who gets in and who doesnt would be even worse. Theyd only be allowing the very top in instead of maybe some middle of the roaders.
If Blizz was to come out and say using a key board and mouse are the wrong way to play wow and then said you should actually be playing it on a single button Atari 2600 joystick . Ralph would defend it and say You are not supposed to use more then one ability.
Good luck filling groups that way, I ll stick to my usual method and still do well since I often make the group so I make the right invite decisions compared to some tryhard who invites a meta noob only for us to carry him cuz a dh gets outdpsed in aoe by an spriest.
so back in gw2 when they released raids we had basic knowledge of damage but no one had worked out how to get dps readings in the game
looking back in hindsight of the builds we were running and how effective we were was a night and days difference
we pretty much only started working out what was good by word of mouth and so few people knew what was indeed the best specs to be doing things was pretty limited
Blizz please tune everything that gives gear to the bad players like me. The good players just want to do their thing and we shouldn’t stop them, but give them cool cosmetic rewards and achievements instead because raids and dungeons can just get harder without ilvl getting higher.
If you do this, I will stay out of competitive content and not waste people’s time.
So are we talking about DPS meters or covenants? Cause I agree on the covenants part and they shouldn’t be able to swap back and forth so easily.
However, I’m not so blind and ignorant to say I don’t see the argument for the other side and why they would want the covenants to be swappable. It is at the end of the day the players choice.
