The Emerald Dream is a dissapointment

Sad thing to say, but unfortunately very true. And I HATED Korthia.

It’s nothing like Zereth Mortis imo.

Agreeed! The delves sound exactly like the Niffen digs except with friends. Definitely not going to get my hopes up there, but there is potential should they wish to flesh it out.

Lack of content??? The content hasn’t even been out for a week yet, not to mention there’s still the raid to even come out yet lol – Keep up buttercup.

Like jeeze, chill out. :joy:

It’s why I took this week off. No new raid or M+ this week? Well, no reason to login. World content is so pointless zzzzz

Could you kiss blizzard’s feet a little less. They’re starting to wrinkle from all the moisture.

Amazing counter argument for an emotional unstable sock puppet.

What??? You dont like the current state of Retail wow? Shocking.

Hop on your Dragon fly at Mach 10 and decend to get your next Toy/mount/world quest and then lift off to do it again and again and again. ZOOOOOM ZOOOM .

All content in the game has a life span of 1-4 days and then you’re supposed to go into raids and Mythic + or que for PVP silly.

Retail is like the dev’s don’t want you to think to long about the content so they make it so easy to bypass.

Because the journey in an MMO is for chumps!!!

GET THAT END GAME COOKIE GOGOOGOGOGOG

Zaralek Caverns had more to do, Zereth Mortis had more to do, Korthia had more to do, Black Empire Uldum + Vale had more to do, Nazjatar + Mechagon had more to do, Argus had more to do.

All of the .X zones I can remember from the last 3 expansions had more to do in them than the Emerald Dream and in a lot of these cases IT’S NOT EVEN CLOSE.

Emerald Dream looks nice, but that’s where the positives pretty much end for me.

The biggest disappointment to me was that they didn’t create a new herb to stem the botters ability to flood the market with the new contract, vantus rune and health pot. Everything new crafting wise that doesn’t drop from the raid is selling at a loss. They really botched this release in that regard, along with overall the emerald dream has been extremely lackluster in comparison to caverns too.

The Emerald Dream doesn’t even look like a “Dream” it looks like a generic zone that will be forgotten.

I strongly disagree on the zones of:

  • Korthia which had jack squat, aside from its translation crap and it’s highly seeked rares.
  • Nazjatar, not much needs to be said.
  • Zereth Mortis, had a translation music thing, you could “Walk on water!? WHOA!” (clearly you were a fan of that since you enjoyed it more than Emerald Dream) and again – some daily world quests and desired rares + Pocopoc.

Obviously all had their questlines & story campaign, but the degree on how each of those were enjoyed could be discussed for ages on different players overall thematic enjoyments, so I won’t go there.

If you’ve seen my previous posts & commentary, I’m hardly one to “kiss Blizzard’s feet” lol — I’ve got into some heated discussions lasting literal months, because of critisizing Blizzard on their content, story & writing – Particularly on the expansion ‘Shadowlands’.

But hey, I suppose I shouldn’t really give your comment any merit or value – After all, at the very least I don’t comment hiding behind some low level shmuck character with minimal amount of posts. Your commentary is worthless to me.

I think you’re right. This is a mini version of the Legion artifacts for me. I want to collect all the skins for my forms. It gives me something to do between bg queues.

Don’t say that word

Its a beautiful zone, probably the most eye appealing in WoW I’ve seen, to think this is off the backs of a fossil engine is kinda fascinating. So the art teams are doing a fantastic job, the quests seem the usual for me as they’re the same as the previous installments and once again there is literally no danger in retail, the world mobs are just loot pinatas.

Seed stuff is cool, don’t mind it, other than that, zone is pretty chill. Its a much better zone than anything we got in shadowlands thats for damn sure. There is hope with the art team, they’re talented, the writers however are still writing Disney fanfiction so I just skip.

I think the story is just lacking, this feels like a filler expansion as a whole, so I mean the expectations aren’t very high anyway, I could see why people would think its barebones, I mean what do they have to play with anyway? Have you seen this writing team?

Its legit 3 hours max, what were you doing? lmao.

Facts hurt.

Generic. That comeback has been beaten with a stick so many times, there is only a decomposed outline remains of a horse left.

Yes I have noticed you talk a lot of rubbish cloaked as “discussion”.

Should I anticipate some more feet sucking or you have finally come to your senses? I don’t expect an answer, I’m sure you’ll refer back to me using an alt character to prevent being harassed in-game. Why you even need to know my main characters is concerning in itself. Creep and creepy.

Anyone with a brain knows the next 6 months is going to be spamming the same 8 dungeons and raid.

It’s a shame that your average player can spend no more than 10 hours and be bored/feel done with the content. Zerith Mortis felt and was much more fullfilling. Killing rares, farming rares, building your mount.

I’ve logged in less than 8 hours this patch(most afk) and am just waiting for next week. The only “content” that feels rewarding shouldn’t only be dungeons and a raid. Time rifts are more fun than the entire ED.

Caverns felt empty and this feels empty. Why not just follow the model of previous “zones” and even ZM.

Korthia had 19 mounts to collect:

  • Maelie the Wanderer – appeared in various locations throughout the zone to be discovered and collected.

  • Dusklight Razorwing – find eggs in loot over a period of time to collect

  • Darkmaul – collected by feeding it Tasty Mushrooms found in treasure spawns across the zone

  • Rampaging Mauler – rare drop

  • Garnet Razorwing – rare drop

  • Crimson Shardhide – rare drop

  • Fierce Razorwing – Death’s Advance paragon mount

  • Beryl Shardhide – Death’s Advance paragon mount

  • Tamed Mauler Harness – Archivists’ Codex paragon mount

  • Soaring Razorwing – Archivist’s Codex reputation vendor

  • Forsworn Aquilon – Covenant specific rare drop

  • Lord of the Corpseflies – Covenant specific rare drop

  • Summer Wilderling – Covenant specific rare drop

  • Mastercraft Gravewing – Covenant specific rare drop

  • Amber Shardhide – Death’s Advance reputation vendor

  • Battle-hardened Aquilon – Death’s Advance reputation vendor

  • Battlefield Swarmer – Death’s Advance reputation vendor

  • Winter Wilderling – Death’s Advance reputation vendor

  • Pale Gravewing – Death’s Advance reputation vendor

Korthia had 12 pets to collect:

  • 6 wild pets (Animite Broodling, Anxious Nibbler, Devourling, Eye of Affliction, Wild Corpsefly, Young Garnetgullet)

  • 2 pets from rare drops (Grappling Gauntlet, Korthian Specimen)

  • 1 pet from Death’s Advance paragon chest (Mosscoated Gromit)

  • 1 pet from Archivists’ Codex paragon chest (Gnashtooth)

  • 1 from Death’s Advance reputation vendor (Domestic Aunian)

  • 1 from daily quests (Chompy)

Korthia had 10 different treasures each with their own daily cap as well:

  • Invasive Mawshrooms

  • Nests of Unusual Materials

  • Mawsworn Caches

  • Pile of Bones/Shardhide Stashes/Relic Chests

  • Riftbound Caches

  • Anima Vessels

  • Helsworn Chest

Not to mention the Relic Gorger and Relic Gatherer who both appeared throughout the zone.

Don’t forget about the transmogs either.

From Death’s Advance:

  • Cloak Cosmetic (The Archivists’ Codex also had cloak cosmetic)

  • Death’s Advance Tabard

  • Ensemble: Battlefield Messenger’s Regalia

  • Ensemble: Frontline Necromancer’s Vestments

  • Ensemble: Garb of Fall’s Promise

  • Ensemble: Renathal’s Field Inquisitor’s Vestments

  • Ensemble: Renathal’s Battlefield Attire

Then you had the Covenant Korthia transmogs to collect too:

  • Foresworn Aspirant’s Vestments (with both robe and tunic variants)

  • Rogue Necromancer’s Vestments

  • Garb of the Twilight Grove

  • Radiant Court Vestments

  • Redeemed Inquisitor’s Vestments

I didn’t even mention the toys, or the gear, or the back and shoulder Torghast mogs that were also dropped by rares. There’s probably a few other things I missed too. Korthia was a great zone that was packed with content that could keep a player occupied for a very long time. There was variety, and it was interactive. You traversed the terrain with the grappling hook, you traveled through rifts, you used transporter repair kits to reach rares, you used toys to race across the zone, and heck, I’m even going to give a shout out to the trained gromit who would find treasure for you.

Most importantly, it was packed. It was full of people constantly shouting out rares in chat. Rares with varied, interactive summoning methods and mechanics.

I loved Korthia, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Jack squat? Yeah right.
