The Elitism In This Game Is Getting To Be Too Much

I only tank. I have a 2517 blood dk, and a 2346 prot warrior. I am not new to tanking, however, what they are asking you to do in a normal dungeon is not unreasonable. There is nothing to learn in normal dungeons because nothing threatens you. You just hit w and spam some random aoe threat ability like the swirly hammers and you are good. My question to you though is, did you try to keep up? Not how dare you pull for me, I mean did you actually try? You aren’t a dictator as a tank, that isn’t how this works, if you think the tank can just command the peasants no matter how fun that would be lmao, you just can’t. Tanking isn’t for everyone, if you want the slow methodical single pull and drink after the pull, you’ll need to head back to classic.

once again someone on this forum immediately states a conclusion without any argument to back it up lol. Maybe for some people fun is seeing as fast as they can go

You literally did not read the post because I only had 1 person vocalizing for me to pull more.

If you’re kicked, it’s because the majority of the group decided so. Being a tank isn’t a pass. If you want a slow moving, learning group — create one, It’s not the job of 4 random people to play the way you’ve scripted in your head. If you aren’t moving fast enough for that group, then you shouldn’t be in that group. Now, I do agree that getting the 30 min timer isn’t the greatest but it probably prevents more trolling than it creates. If you want a community, you need to join one. LFD is not where you will find kind, empathetic people. It’s like looking for new best friends while riding the subway, people just want to get from point A to B with as little trouble or interaction as possible.

Normal dungeons are there for leveling and new players you don’t get a priority pass because you’re on your 17th alt. You can’t jump into a M+ and learn go read the forums about that it’s a huge mess of people complaining about people not knowing what they’re doing, and it’s likely attributed to those same people rushing people through normal/heroic/M0. It’s just a toxic community and blizzard has handed the keys to the toxic portion. I’ve sat with people for hours on heroic Ansurek watching wipe after wipe and letting people try to learn the fight because I don’t own the game, I’m here to play just as everyone else is. I didn’t know how to do this stuff at one point and I was taught and helped, and we’re straying away from that and instead of blaming the player base causing it the blame gets shifted onto blizzard when the only thing they’re at fault for is giving the toxic player base the tools to stop new players from learning.

Then you should play that way and expect other people to play how they want to as well. When the votekick comes, you vote your way and I will vote mine. You like to teach and all that, great, not everyone sees that as their duty in-game – especially to total strangers. Its about how you value your time. You don’t need to jump into Mythic+ to learn, thats what Mythic is for. Theres no timer or key to brick. Ignoring the mechanics can absolutely kill you. There are an absurd amount of resources out there to teach you everything from the most basic parts of the game, all the way up to Mythic raiding. You probably sat thru that heroic Ansurek with people who couldnt be bothered to watch a 5 minute video of the fight beforehand, thus wasting hours.

I did you’re absolutely right but you’re missing the point. If you’re not letting people run normal dungeons to learn how do you on earth expect them to run mythic dungeons. Leveling content should be prioritized for new players, not people rushing their 7th toon to 80 who feel entitled to whatever they want in the game because they’ve already completed the content

No one learns in leveling dungeons, normal dungeon, or even heroic dungeons. This is the case even during fresh expansion launch. You can’t blame the players when Blizzard tunes them in a way for dungeons to be pulled wall to wall.

You get a wrong idea here. M+ may be used to practice, but not a place to learn. The reason of low key bracket being a toxic mess is because some players think m+ is a place to learn and proceed to ruin other players’ keys.

Blizzard added npc dungeon followers i strongly recommend doing that instead of fooling with normal difficulty while leveling.Just less headache and you can learn dungeon mechanics on your own pace.

Its not about you dude… Have respect for other players and stop pushing through content becasue you’re bored… maybe you should try going out side sometime and learn to slow your role.

Google the definition.

Saying “google it” isn’t an argument. Try again.

I don’t think if your vote kicked you should get the deserter debuff at all. I know all of the mechanics of all the dungeons myself, me pulling a little smaller was honestly a product of the dungeons I had ran prior healers were not keeping up with healing on bigger packs, and yes I was using my defensives but with the update to tanks this xpac healers are having to work a lot harder and frankly some of them in normal dungeons don’t output what’s needed, and that’s perfectly fine by me because I figure they’re either new players or new to healing and they’re figuring it out right there. That’s how it should be, I didn’t learn any of the classes I’ve learned by just jumping into the end game.

The system didn’t do this originally. They actually added the debuff to vote kicks because there was rampant abuse of that feature.

peak gameplay is watching someone with adhd go from 40% haste to 10% over the course of 10 levels and being able to witness their lizard brain cope to shedding skin

I am not arguing with you. Just trying to remove arrogance of the definition of the word you are using.

You know what I find totally funny! It’s players like you Illunaris that are in LFR on your level 80 and fail mechanics and fail to use defenses, then you wonder why you’re warming the floor. It’s not about elitism it’s about learning how to play and not wasting everyone else’s time.
