I am maining BM and Arcane mage this season so far. The skill floor – being able to do moderate damage – is much easier on bm. But as one works on min/maxing the gap between the two of them decreases a fair amount. Arcane is essentially on a 1:50/0:45 burst schedule. BM is on a 2:00/0:45/0:45 burst schedule. so it’s kinda harder to fit in your cd’s on the easier spec.
I think blizzard did a great job with the latest BM changes. It retains the accessibility of the spec but gives gamers some complexity.
But where were you to complain when destro was top dog S3 and S4 of shadowlands? Talk about an easy spec…
Or what about Havoc right now? Havoc is doing even better than BM and is incredibly easy.

because data gives us a better view of reality than your feelings do, sorry to say.
tbh the only people that should get a say in what class is easy and what is not are people that get 99 percentiles in mythic and pvp. otherwise your opinion is irrelevant because the content you are are clearing is braindead.
all these rogues and warr commenting how easy BM is, none of them seem to be doing anything short of underwhelming in mythic lol.

that’d be a horrible design philosophy. imagine picking up a class only to realize that at least one of your specs is forever c tier or below because they’ve been designated an easy spec.
it doesnt. but that fact is garbage players are giving advice and that usually means advice is garbage.
So BM isnt hard, but neither is any other class… idk why people are suggesting this. like i really feel bad for someone who finds classes in current state hard.

Idk. I’m really not sure how to feel on this topic. On one hand, it sucks to feel outclassed when you’re putting in more effort. On the other hand, it would also suck to never get time to shine on a spec because it’s simple.
It wouldn’t be so bad if class balance were remotely decent for just one expansion, though.

BM is by far the easiest class.
You can hold that opinion. you are allowed to find a class easier. doesn’t meant other people do as well. similarly other people might find your class easier than BM hunter and that is okay as well. its nothing to get defensive about. Its okay to admit it. you wont become any less of a player.

Oh yeah… Aug hurt us Hunters a lot too.
Why run a fragile Hunter when they can pick up an Aug Evoker and pump up the DPS that doesn’t die when something looks at it wrong?

Just ignore it. I don’t agree with you (since I play BM a lot so their weaknesses are very grating in my eyes as I constantly feel it), but I didn’t flag your post either.

I mean I liked your previous post because WoW has a very high skill floor, but objectively speaking the most ‘complex’ things about BM hunter are multidotting and keeping up a very generous buff. Mild callout to the shorter but still easy to maintain Beast Cleave.
I’m not defensive at all. Just find it hilarious someone saying BM isn’t easy is hiding their hunter because they don’t want us to see those gray parses.
