Worgen optional tails when Blizzard. Its been 13+ years when will we see some Worgen love?

DH has 2 possible races
Evoker has only 1 possible race
This is not going to change.

Also night elves and blood elves have a lot more possible classes options than dracthyr.

Oh you are absolutely correct, I forgot to mention the movement speed side of it

I’m on the fence. On one hand it’s a HD update to Shaman, and I take those any time I can get them. On the other hand, this is not it.
In a vacuum it looks good. It would suite a Troll maybe, or an Undead Shaman if those get released. But it’s not a good look for the other races.
Blizzard, you’ve shown you can make great customisation options when you released the updated Moonkin forms, I’m not going to snub the update yet because I’ll see what you do with it, but this is not great Shaman fantasy to me and I’m unimpressed with how the either ascendance form looks.

It’s better than the current option, but I reckon there’s room for improvement

But they were basically saying the analogy of “I wanna play worgen without turning into werewolf”…fail logic.

Really, I wasn’t aware you spoke for everyone else including me and in my own case I could careless about Paladin, Druid, Shaman or Demon Hunter race expansion because I only play Warlocks so a Dracthyr Warlock or two is exactly what I want.

Isn’t speed a good thing? With glide you can get places quickly.

Would have preferred transmog for the gecko forms first.

These visages still feel off when compared to the other dragons and the fact that their art style is notably different from human/belves.

Same here, wish visage form never existed so Dracthyr model could have gotten all the love it deserved.

Ducks fly together -Gordon Bombay

I wonder if the squadrons feature is cosmetic, or if you can actually synch up with other dracthyr and have essentially three person flying (that would be rad)

Blizzard: People will love our new Dragon Race

Also Blizzard: Advertising Dracthyr in their visage forms for posters and key-art

Blizzard if you dont even want to showcase a Dracthyr Hunter in Dracthyr form why would i want to play one? Lol

Three things:

No Earth Ascendence?

No Shaman Tanking? You literally just gave Dracthyr a tanking spec with Warrior, and even though they will wear Plate, that’s still a tank spec for them and Shaman are still waiting.

Third: So does this mean you’re planning to give Dracthyr better/more varied Visage forms? This could be a way to play (as an example) a Tauren Warrior on the Alliance side or a Gnome Priest on Horde. Technically speaking, it would be a Visage, but it could work.

Release the Druids!!!

DH is a class, Dracthyr is a race. Why would they let DH be other classes? NELF and BELF can already be a ton of other things. Dracs (currently) can only be Evoker. It stands to reason they would get access to more classes.

Also, why would DH be expanded to more races? There aren’t new DH being made, same as DKs. What is the reasoning behind those two specifically that you think justifies them? Monk makes sense, they have training grounds. Evokers are ONLY Dracs and there is a reason for that as well. What would make a Tauren capable (and necessary) to be a DH (as an example)?

I don’t understand your argument, and I don’t think you do either.

DH negates that kind of effect as well, you know. lol

Yeah, but the problem is that it would be too much of a general advantage over picking any other race that can be the same classes.

It’d be especially frustrating for people that do not like the looks of dracthyr seeing one playing the exact same class as them bunny-hopping past, shrugging off knockback mechanic, and getting on certain elevations that Glide’s minuscule height boost allows them to, all without any cooldown.

At least the other impactful racials (Stoneform, Shadowmeld) are used only in certain situations and with cooldowns attached to them.

Well, I hope they keep it the way it is. I don’t want Blizzard to change anything about glide and soar.

Yes, but it’s a feature tied to their class and not their race so it wasn’t as much of a problem only having two classes in the game that had it. Realistically no one would want to fill the group with DHs and Evokers since class stacking isn’t very beneficial.

When the majority of the classes are able to have it as well, it can create situations where future content would have to account for everyone in the group potentially having 170% speed to get out of things and ignoring every knockback/knockup fight mechanics, either by not allowing them to and ruining the existing perks of DHs and Evokers, by not having those mechanics entirely, or by just ignoring it and making other races feel inferior when those mechanics happen.

Think of Dathea back in Vault of the Incarnates. If the entire group can be filled with a diverse roster of classes played as Dracthyr, it’ll allow the group to ignore adds positioning and small tornado knockbacks entirely, all the time. If you’re not playing as one in a group filled with Dracthyr and they decide to not account for you not having Glide, you’ll be the only person hecked over.
