The Dracthyr Spread their Wings to New Classes

and in char portraits, and so we can see it if we want for some of the more in-combat abilities

The only good reason to play a Drac over a B/Velf are the beards and the horns, sometimes they look just better, also on rated pvp / solo shuffle both racials are going to be really good

don’t worry, Harronir druids are on the way

You’re telling me that Blizzard failed with Dracthyr Lvdovico.

You’re just doing it in different words like all of the others.

fwiw I do wish both could show in the profile

You literally never have to use the visage. It forces you to use the dragon form as an Evoker, never the other way around.

While good for those who would want one, I’m not too interested in them, sadly so it won’t make too much of a difference for me.

Damn, was hoping for Dracthyr shaman as all the male alliance races that can be shamans look bad

YOU don’t care. You don’t speak for the rest of us.

Pally, Druid, and Shaman are in the pipeline and are being worked on. It takes time. Meanwhile, I will enjoy playing my dragon warrior, hunter, warlock, and rogue.

“When will we get playable Naga and Ogres?”

Naga, Dryads, and Jinyu will always have camera problems. Ogres are long overdue though.

But I’m really tired of people whining that Blizz needs to make major changes to the race/class so that they can have yet another blood elf. I would much rather they spend dev effort to fix transmog, instead of bowing to people that don’t actually want a dragon character.

Cool, I guess. Still not making one. But, that’s justme I suppose.

lmao this emoji always cracks me up

The other option is making Evokers available to other races. I’d gladly just play Blood Elf and never touch Dracthyr again if given the option. But until then my choices are to advocate for a more permanent visage or just not play a class I really like based on how ugly the race they’ve locked it to is.

And I’d rather I didn’t have to play a dragon I don’t want in the first place in order to play Evoker, but that’s where we are.

I have concerns, most specifically about Glide. Glide negates knock back/up mechanics in PvE. The idea of their being a race that can negate these mechanics is… concerning.

Picture a fight like Ner’zul. A badly palced cleanse will kill anyone who can’t mitigate the knockback - with Dracthyr existing, suddenly race choice can compensate for mechanical failure, and it never should to that degree. It would extremely difficult to argue that players would not race change for an advantage like this. Glide should absolutely not be kept as a racial and should be moved to Evoker only.

I completely understand the feeling that “I have wings, I have to be able to glide”, but from a racial balance perspective, there is just no way. This is the root issue of why I long thought Dracthyr probably shouldn’t be expanded to other classes at all (at least, not a full version of them complete with wings). But since this version is being moved forward, I really hope the Glide issue will be addressed.

with you please recosider Visage for for Evokers, they are legit the worst class in the game for a sense of visible gear progression. I cannot enjoy them or play them as a class when all I can see is their shoulders.

The resources could have been put to better use than this failed experiment.
Rip Drakonid :pensive:

No Druid and Shaman is actual insanity lol. Lazy company.

There’s like 1 spell for Dev Evoker that doesn’t involve shooting fire or lazer beams from your mouth, you’d essentially be in dragon form permanently anyway…

the worgen also have this problem too, being held back by a useless human form
