Agree, i’ll be a little bit more controversial. WoD zones where by far better, the only issue is that they abandon it, and remove things coming from MoP; things people asked for at the time.
The visual update was insane, the models, the buildings and the spells.
We didn’t have proper daily zones like we did in wrath, or cata, because everyone in MoP whined about the grind, and yes it was horrible, but at least it was a proper Hub to level a rep, with cohesive quest that linked to one an other, and even were linked to the steady and low lore progress.
my favorite expansion?. Wrath, mainly because of lore, which highlight the important of it, albeit wow lore has never been perfect, changing format from an RTS to and RPG gut certain parts of the lore potential.
Why was legion so go ? it brought back things they were removing from each expansion, they brought back big lore points… but the sad thing of all legion… is the start of the endless grind systems and the rollercoster themed expansions.
