That’s the best one. lol
I know you think you’re making a point but you really aren’t. Time to take that headless horseman helm off and get some fresh air.
I have, Make a Wish is a great charity.
That’s the problem dude. If everyone thinks ‘Why donate when I’ll end up in the amount in excess of 3 million’… not too many will donate.
It has never crossed 3 million!! And if blizzard do manage to raise 3 million for the cause, I don’t mind them keeping my 10$.
Real donors don’t need compensation in one form or another.
Their satisfaction is they know their donation will be towards something 100%, not though a 3rd party
Do we need to Gatekeep charity?
Got mine
Bought it instantly. I love cute pets, some of it also does a good thing, and give zero poops about what the forums think of my purchase. Get it if you want it and enjoy the bounce!
That statement just tells me you aren’t someone who contributes to charitable events often. “A portion of the proceeds” is commonplace when the event is being run by a company. In this case it’s 100% for the entire month with a cap which is also commonplace.
I already put my $10 towards Make a wish instead of buying the pet and have done it before previous years
Dottie will not make 3 mil. Period.
If Mischief didn’t even get 3mil. I mean look at it! it’s 9001x more amazing as Dottie!
Cool. Through this limited time event, you could have given that $10 to Make a Wish and gotten a pet out of your contribution, but whatever dimension your brain exists in doesn’t seem to understand that.
No one is losing out its just a digital pet buy it if you want or don’t. Someone like me doesn’t see any reason to buy a pet so I’m not going too but some people really like that kind of thing and more power to them.
As for the outrage don’t allow others opinions dictate what you spend your money on if you wanna buy thats your business who cares what DildoSwaggins on GD thinks.
He was/is the best! Cutest little guy.
Not to mention the playerbase was bigger back then, so there’s that also, statistically.
I still need Mischief… I’m holding out for winterviel discount =x
Because I rather donate directly…? Rather have someone else do it for me? Donors don’t need compensation for donations
Of that $10 donation, $1.80 went to fundraising and administrative costs according to the Make a Wish folks. Giving directly or indirectly will never result in a 100% contribution going to program activities. At least via Blizz, one gets a pet, Make a Wish gets a donation and Blizz gets recognition and a tax break. A win for everyone.
The best part of charity is that its a one person with a million mars bars, asking everyone else to contribute one of the few mars bars they have.
oh are we still talking about dottie?
No one is really losing out. Even if there is only $1 Million in donations, that is money the two charities didn’t have last month.
