With a post like that, youre back on my favorites list lol ![]()
I’m like a broken clock, Liolang…I’m right about twice a day hahaha
If you want hard content then do M+.
Are the points in this thread flying over your head or what?
In MoP if you had the Elixirs of Ancient Knowledge you could send them to low levels and have a friend level you up super fast, 300% buff was gold.
lol. its a little more involved than that if you read the thread.
Personally, Im solely talking about old content leveling, like 1-59ish.
Id like to be a bit more like it was in Legion.
Not dying much, but not two shotting everything while sportin my hokey looms lol
Nope.
World Content shouldn’t be hard when most players do World content solo.
Did you miss the part about the toggle? Just like normal/heroic/mythic dungeons? Or are you here just to argue against something people want?
People like you can just leave it on normal and keep your mouth shut lol
Agreed.
Literally only throwing my hat in to show my support.
They were replying to my statement about scaling, which is about the opposite happening. In BfA (and currently in Remix) the mob strength scaling significantly outpaced character progression such that at max level you got absolutely destroyed by normal world trash that you were able to faceroll groups of at lower levels. People complained about it in BfA, it got somewhat fixed, and then it wasn’t as bad in SL and DF (but is, like I said, still broken in Remix even after multiple hotfixes for it).
I’m fine with it, as long as you get exactly zero incentive for doing it harder.
Which consequently means that nobody will do it.
Same number of people that would do mythic raiding without a gear incentive.
You and Lio are not as on the same wavelength as you think.
Because that would require actually playing the game, which of course, OP doesn’t actually wanna do.
Whats wrong with, say, a +5% gold and XP bonus?
Then you create haves and havenots. This will create immediate calls for balance, you also fracture the player-base.
All to prop up content that is legacy and tired. It’s not worth the effort.
This is literally a analog of warmode with all the same issues.
I wouldn’t call current expansion leveling, world quests, rares, and weeklies legacy content.
I also wouldn’t call a 5% bonus creating haves and have-nots. That’s a bit extreme.
You wouldn’t even need split the players at all, just increase the scaling. Different level players already can play together in the same world, even though they see vastly different scaling.
A good chunk of wows casuals have been corr players for 20 years, and they generally react unfavorably to any kind of difficulty in their content.
Maybe blizz could spin up some retail HC or Mythic open world servers for folks who want this, but I’m sure that just brings on new complaints.
It’s just pointless and irrelevant. Why add friction to pointless and irrelevant? So it takes longer. Oh joy.
Elden Ring is widely popular, so there is that. This was probably the dumbest example you could have used as well.
Maybe we should delete M+ and and raiding above LFR in order to cater to “cozy gaming”?
I mean, if this is what the masses want, right?
I don’t get people on these forums. The same players will defend M+, which is one of the most brutal, toxic, tryhard systems to ever grace an MMO, but having leveling have some teeth is like a huge dealbreaker?
God, this community is just stagnant and just utterly out of touch with the wider gaming community.
WoW gamers are a breed unto their own.
It’s dumb to argue in favor of some standardized generalization of gamers.
Some people prefer cozy gaming. Animal Crossing is the prime example of this. Others don’t. Some games offer multiple types of gameplay. WoW has always had some cozy gaming in its professions. Is it the best MMO at it? No, but like… what are you even arguing?
That because people want fun combat and a challenge, they can’t also want a cozy relaxed experience?
