"The developers disrespect the Alliance player races"

Respectfully, I don’t think the devs will be making faction-specific allied races anymore, and thus they most likely won’t conscious take into account what the factions may think about certain allied races.

Though, If you asked me a week ago if we would be getting an allied race in the future I would have smugly responded that allied races were a BFA feature and we won’t be getting 'em going forward - so what does that tell you about how authoritative my commentary is on this jazz?

I think mechagnomes and kul’tirans were a bit odd, esp. Kul Tirans - having ‘grown up’ around an incredibly famous KT: Jaina. She looks very different from the race. It would be one thing to have a race that wasn’t anchored (ha) in such a way, e.g. getting a race we’ve never really seen before. But getting a race that’s been in our faces for expansions and then they turn out to look very different…odd, to say the least.

Anyway…rambling…

well the big comparison is how well done the vulpera models were vs. the mechagnomes. sadly, allied races, once created, are mostly ignored, as is the case for most of the alliance allied races. vulpera may face the same fate. surprisingly, blood elf males are being neglected as well, and female blood elves, whove been begging for tats, markings and hairstyles since the beginning, are also being neglected . all i can surmise is there must not be an important self insert in any of these races.

Well, to be fair, the Horde took a narrative beating in BFA. Another internal-strife expansion for them.

Interestingly, I was horde on Fair end of WoD through end of Legion, leaving to alliance because of teldrassil.

all i know is my humans and night elves are ‘chef’s kiss’ customizable. and…thats it. my velf still has only the hairstyles she started with in legion, has no tats, markings, necklaces, headdresses, face, hair or body jewelry, etc. i was informed this is because allied races arent meant to be our mains - they arent core and are cheap knock-offs.

Oh my goodness, humans have amazing customizations, though I will be greedy and still ask for more variety in hair colors…highlights.

But i get what you’re saying

(Oh! And hair to remain visible with helms!)

i’m trying to imagine what must be going thru their heads in the customizations department

Alliance players had been demanding playable mechagnomes since Wrath.

The usual retort regarding that is “we wanted the robots from Wrath” which would have had even less customization.

Alliance players got what they demanded. And then complained about it, like usual.

No, we’re bummed about Horde getting access to dwarves while Alliance aren’t getting access to a Horde race.

I feel this should be self-explanatory.

And please save your “yOu GoT hIgH eLvEs”. Yes, we did, and Horde got better looking night elves as a compensation, it doesn’t count.

i have the clockwork battle pet. and 3 mechagnomes. the battlepet has long strips of light on its chasis. and even metal mustachios. i am not convinced they couldnt have done that full mech justice. i do like my mechagnomes but their haircolor is boring

No, no we didn’t.

Is he talking about Nightborne?

Nobody even plays Nightborne.

Yeah, you see, your opinion doesn’t counter reality unluckily for you. You may or may not agree they’re better looking, that’s personal, but you did get night elves.

Nope. They look different.

Still night elves.

Nope.

Go ahead, make a night elf and a NB that look the same. Like you can do with Blood and Void elves.

I wanted playable Kyrian. Can I get that someday, please? /beg

and nobody plays mechagnomes or kul’tirans. fortunately, even though they are an allied race, nightborne got a better customization pass than most of the other allied races. they needed it cause their customizations were boring.

What ? What would be the point of an allied race if they looked the same?

They are updated night elves, just like void elves are updated blood elves.

You go ahead and make two same bood and void elves, they have different customizations.

You want the blue people?

Sure, go ahead.
