The death of classic

That’s the thing… it really isn’t enjoyable on either side. Only generic hardcore PvP Classic cultists enjoy this and won’t care if subs drop because of it.

To them, being an mlg pro (despite having to play classic pvp due to failing to get over 1800 in arena) gankz0r is what classic is all about.

Imagine you go to play CoD or Battlefield… the teams are 40 vs 40… except, for some reason, it turns out to be 60 vs 20… wonder which team is gonna win and have the better time?

If there is only one BG going on at a time, then if there are twice as many horde as alliance, then the horde will get to play every other game. If a game lasts 15 minutes on average, then the average queue time would be 15 minutes.

If Blizzard were to put all PvP servers into the same battlegroup and all PvE servers into the same battlegroup, we should expect instant queues for alliance and 10-15 minute queues for horde. But since they’ll be combined, the horde will only outnumber alliance by about 55 to 45. Which means the horde queue time should be about 22% of the average length of a battleground, or about 2-3 minutes.

Neither. You’re going to be either extremely bored or extremely frustrated.

I don’t understand why people think it is enjoyable tbh. But some people just love ganking people. On the private servers there was a guy named “Iganklowbies” and he would just sit in Redridge, Duskwood, or Menethil literally all day long killing people trying to level.

I wanted to enjoy world PvP, and 100 vs 100 looks really cool in a video, but it is actually really stupid, and gets boring pretty fast. And worst of all, it isn’t even good honor.

Break me haha. I get more honor.

Do horde players actually find it fun running around looking fir 50s to one shot 12 hrs a day. I feel like a rare mob in retail. Lol!

I ran a few BGs in retail. That seems to be the way to go if you have a taste for PvP. The numbers are more balanced and each side has a decent chance to win.

World PvP just seems to be a waste of time. It’s gotta be a case of misery loving company I guess. In any event, wether PvP is successful or not, classic WoW will not die because of it.

Blizzard has said nothing like this.

Don’t fall into the trap of psyching yourself up for something to happen based on player-based discussion.

The queue times for horde will be horrible as ever for bgs when they pop. It’ll be fun to see the tears here from all horde asking for “Merc Mode”

This is simply culling the weak…have fun back in retail, make sure warmode is disabled btw!

How about true PvP. Everyone killing everyone regardless of faction. This sounds like the way to make world PvP work.

Note: I don’t PvP myself, I’m just trying to help.

You’re not like a rare mob. You’re more like a squirrel. I doubt that most of the horde are having fun with the situation either. Most people don’t like one shotting squirrels.

It’s not. If the best foot ball team in the league had to play against a team of 200 people with no refs they’d lose. It wouldn’t prove anything about the quality of the players.

Currently no one can do anything other than PvP. And the PvP consists of only zerging and ganking. A lot of people want to do other things but can’t. Those people will likely quit the game, and may not come back.

Classic won’t die as in there will still be people playing. But if things stay as they are for too long, the playerbase will be cut dramatically. That is what people mean when the say dead.

You lack self awareness, you use insecurity as an insult it is because you are insecure and are projecting. Keep crying noob

Reroll PvE, don’t reroll horde.

We don’t need anymore softies.

I know basic reading comprehension can be hard… which is why I assume you’re unfamiliar with what projecting actually is. I never denied partaking in such activities? In fact, I actually mentioned I have both horde and alliance toons… but, like I said, reading can be hard for some people :stuck_out_tongue: The fact that I’ve been on both ends on the ‘issue’ and have failed to find enjoyment, challenge, or any idea of why people think that standing in zergs and killing people trying to get to BRM or quest in WPL is somehow exciting or fair. In fact, I thought straight away about the longevity of the game… but a lot of horde players get upset and insecure when the ratios get mentioned. It’s okay, little buddy, I’m sure you’re a great mlg pvper… don’t worry about your low arena rating and non-existent rbgs score. You just keep beating people with superior numbers and camping fps  you are THE BEST

I know a lot of insecure and exposed horde players here can’t seem to handle horde players speaking out about the phase 2 issue(s); however, as a horde member myself, I find this stupid and boring. I also know that this has, and will continue to, reduce the total number of active players on classic. Look at the forums… so many people have voiced concerns and displeasure… moreover, a lot of people have pointed out how flawed the increased server capacities and vastly unbalanced servers creates some serious problems.

I’m glad that my use of humor triggered you

2005: WoW is dying!

2010: WoW is dying!

2015: WoW is dying!

2019: WoW is dying! Phase 2 has been out for a few days, relax. People are acting like this is an 'effing catastrophe, but the problem will be fixed sooner or later. Nothing wrong with taking a break and coming back later, but don’t pretend that this will “kill” anything. People who waited over a decade for a product aren’t all going to jump ship the moment things get rocky.

I feel for you. Not everyone is cut from this cloth. Some of us take joy in watching the weak cry tears of whine. Blizzard gave your type an outlet. A safe haven. A world all to yourself…it’s called Battle for Azeroth.

Classic has been a distant nightmare, far beyond the horizon for many years. We’ve been patiently waited for it’s unrelenting return. The bloodbath of zoomers runs red. The real battle for Azeroth has once again commenced, and the weak are beginning to succumb to the sheer brutality.

You will not be remembered, but your generation will be whispered around campfires far into the future. An entire generation of whispy-wrists and pencil necks deleted from the annals of internet history.

Okay boomer
