The Datamined Reins of the Quantum Courser (Potential) List

Wowhead recently posted a list of potential mounts that may be associated with the Quantum Courser item in the upcoming 10.1.5 megadungeon.

While I love the “random mount” idea of this item, I would be disappointed if these lists end up being both true and final. All of the speculated mounts that can be awarded by the Quantum Courser are still obtainable in-game and in their respective dungeons, and most of these are also obtainable on the BMAH too. In other words, most of the mounts on this list have two ways to obtain them currently. I’m a little confused as to why this item may not be used to reintroduce unobtainables (e.g., Brewfest Ram, Swift Razzashi Raptor, etc.) since this is a really good way to do it.

This is of course assuming Wowhead was correct with this datamining, and if so, that the lists are complete. Of course, only Blizzard knows the details, but if there’s accuracy to the lists, I hope Blizzard considers this feedback. Thank you.

That… sounds like exactly how it should work.

Making a casino roll item have the ability to give mounts that can’t be acquired elsewhere would be absolutely awful.

No. It is supposed to be a new mount you don’t have.

That’s certainly an opinion. To do this would be unlikely, and would go against tradition.

Huh. For some reason I was under the impression, it would basically masquerade as a mount from your mount collection.

If you get this item and use it, you will get a mount you do not have added to your collection.
