The damage is done.

So we see Blizzard now follows the *Trump Ethos* of if you don't like something pay someone or fire someone to get rid of it and then create fake news to support your agenda.

Please, you don't think Blizzard had a conversation with YouTube? Ive never had anything removed on YouTube until now.

Of course they did. Silicon Valley has been an incestuous pit for several decades. Of course guys working in Blizzard have likely worked at Google or Youtube, or know them close enough to pull strings.

I can't wait for block chains to decimate Silicon Valley.

Something is going on. Legit accounts ARE having their down vote removed. It happened to me, twice now. My account is over 5 years old. I have commented on many videos in the past. Some positive, some negative, but what youtube is doing is just putting gasoline on a dumpster fire.

Your account standing doesn't matter. YouTube monitors video activity in the same way Valve monitors review activity on Steam. Too much negative activity in a short period of time triggers an automated reaction. For YouTube, a bot clears the dislikes, for Valve, a bot triggers a 'review bomb' warning and allows players viewing the product to hide the reviews that are considered part of the review bomb.

You’re not a billion dollar company who also pays Google a lot of money to advertise on their platform above and beyond what their various channels bring in.

So why hasn't EA been doing the same thing since they are far more influential and far more wealthy than Blizzard? They haven't. By all means if you have proof that YouTube is in cahoots with Blizzard, present it, otherwise you've got no leg to stand on here.

I actually have a fair amount of positive comments. This reeks worse than a fish market on a hot summer's day.

First time for everything, and where is your proof that EA ISN’T in cahoots with Google? YouTube censorship has been a pretty big issue lately. Lots of channels complaining about getting throttled. You’re basically telling us to trust in Big Brother.
Because that’s always worked out well.

Please read what I wrote again and process it this time.

Your account standing doesn't matter.

YouTube tracks video activity, not user activity. It doesn't matter if you have thousands of positive comments and only one negative. That's not something YouTube factors in. They look at the analytics of the video that you're commenting on.

Well, I will stay vigilant and down vote as many times as it takes for it to stick.

Have you considered that it may be YouTube that has an automated system in place to detect botnet-generated responses, and counter them?

If you don't have evidence, but only suspicions, accusations are incredibly rude.

You say this, but COD infinite warfare did not suddenly lose dislikes, but its funny its the same publisher :)
Bottom line is that dislikes have been consistently removed over the past 36 hours and are not being allowed to break 500k.

If it’s not a Blizzard issue, it’s definitely a Google issue and says frightening things about THEIR power to shut down criticism of their fellow Silicon Valley bros.
I've never downvoted something I'll go on and test it tomorrow. Normally if it's crap I don't even watch it.

It's called "The Streisand Effect". When you attempt to suppress something bad in order to boost your image, it just makes the anger and rage worse by making it justified.

Blizzard needs to fire all of their PR people and hire new ones.

It didn't start with Babs. "Banned in Boston" was a surefire way for your book to shoot to the top of the best-seller list.

In this instance, Blizzard has compounded what was originally an idiotic, tone-deaf announcement to the wrong audience (a faux pas, at best) with blazing hostility and censorship, which has only compounded the attention people are paying to this issue. In fact, people who don't even play Diablo are outraged.

Now, you really have to work hard to earn that kind of bad press.

I highly doubt it. I had my down vote removed and my account has been active for over 5 years.

Also, I just checked it again, and guess what. My account suddenly flipped my dislike into the neutral stance again. I gave it a downvote, again. They are scared, Monday is coming.

Check your clicks people.

Leftist social democrats from Communist California using the silicon valley state run media for their personal propaganda machine...this will not end well just like before they will lose.

I'm going to pretend you aren't really serious with this comment.

If you are, get help.

Hide your head in the sand and pretend everything is normal but silicon valley and their puppets are engaging in censorship and yes as a media company Blizzard, google, facebook, twitter et al have entered in to a good faith relationship with the US government as a public/private media broadcast corpusing publicly owned broadcast digital infrastructures and are granted limited use licenses over publicly owned utilities and our therefore bound by the 1st amendment (soon to be before the Supreme Court of the US).

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless.
Not to speak is to speak.
Not to act is to act.”

― Dietrich Bonhoeffer
I used my phone to dislike it. I also loved the fact that Redpill got higher likes than the video did/does (at the time of this posting, Blizzard can be sneaky and dirty and remove them afterall).

Then where is the blue disclaimer, specifically and categorically denying these "rumors"? If it's untrue, that is the very first place I would go. Put something in writing.
Man some of you guys need to stop listening to alex jones, and loosen the tin foil for real.
Stick to Diablo forums pls.

It's possible they're getting caught in with the anti bot system. It wouldn't be the first time an automated system was over zealous when doing its job.
