I think what the system should do for public and private orders is allow the buyer to set what rank they want in their order. Crafters shouldn’t be compensated in any way for not fulfilling the specified rank, and buyers shouldn’t lose their mats/tip. If that’s too complicated for blizz to do then their crafting system is not designed well.
