More mechanics, sure. Tighter tuning… notsomuch.
Yes it does, because if you had some relevant experience, you’d gladly show it to prove your point.
We both know why you don’t. You aren’t tricking anyone other than yourself with this act.
Nobody that has played this game at any real level thinks content has gotten easier over the years.
Then why do they take far more pulls?
No. Just because I have relevant experience doesn’t mean I want to post my other toons here.
In fact, that’s the non sequitur.
This is incorrect.
This too is incorrect.
Again, you aren’t fooling anyone. We know why you’re hiding.
You saying content hasn’t gotten harder (and has even gotten easier) without providing evidence you’ve done said content is actually the problem here. Him asking for evidence for your claims is valid.
Yes it has. The gear, DPS, healing, every check in vanilla and TBC for bosses was really low comparably.
You seem fooled.
This isn’t actually a problem, because whether you’ve done the content or not isn’t relevant to the discussion. That’s the exact reason ad hom is a logical fallacy.
He’s not asking for evidence of my claims. He’s asking for something unrelated to my claims.
Don’t do it yet. Flasking for PvP in phase 2 is hilarious and overpowered. Especially if Shaman or Druid.
Uhh… what? You’re saying the content has gotten easier. How is actually having done said content not actually relevant?
If you make a claim about something, you have to provide evidence to justify it - in this case, evidence it’s gotten easier or proof you’ve actually done it. You have provided neither.
It doesn’t prove anything about the difficulty of the content… just how involved in the game I was at the time.
If I were in a top 100 guild the entire time (I wasn’t), it wouldn’t do anything to prove what I was saying.
No, but it would give weight to what you say given you actually experienced it.
Now, again: provide evidence showing raiding has gotten easier. It doesn’t have to be proof you’ve actually done it. Vanilla raiding is really easy, heck, TBC is too. Wrath isn’t very difficult either. But each time the game moves to the next expansion just in those three examples, raiding at the top end got harder.
No it wouldn’t. My argument isn’t about whether I found the content easier or not.
The fact that I did a lot of this content has no bearing on what I said. It’s not evidence, and it doesn’t give anybody’s opinion any more weight.
Ok so how did raiding get easier?
Again: By every objective metric content is harder. Every single metric.
Good lord. Stop the bushbeating. Post evidence for your claims. It doesn’t have to be proof you did it, but stop cherrypicking things to respond to or it’s clear you’re full of hot air.
Number of guilds who have completed the content. Time until completion.
Not to mention the number of guilds who got through “pre nerf” when they were still doing that.
And that’s just off the top of my head.
At this point i’ve stopped caring. You guys think ME beating content somehow has a bearing on whether it was harder or not.
That’s not content being harder lmao. There’s a difference between content being hard and content being inaccessible.
Content is more accessible today, but it is far more difficult at the top end.
Don’t get mad at me because you overstated your argument. ![]()
This literally only shows there’s a greater interest in it. That, combined with the fact it’s far more accessible to start raiding and how the time around raiding (consumables, gold farming, gear, etc) is much smaller makes it far easier to focus on the raid itself.
Plus the networking is so much more advanced than it ever was. We have no idea how many guilds did older raids, but a much clearer idea how many raids do content today.
Bugged content, no catch up systems, and less time to do attempts on a boss are not at all evidence of it being harder. The amount of pulls required to kill a boss is MASSIVELY harder now than it ever was.
Some bosses that went unkilled for a long time were not killable because they were tuned poorly or there was a bug.
They stopped doing that for the most part because there’s no reason to with 4 difficulties.
