The colossal waste of professions

Yep, your guild name checks out!

I beg to differ. I never made more money off Blacksmithing than I did in Legion.

I made several million gold off professions in BFA. Mostly of leatherworking and inscription of all things. Which people claimed were useless. But i wouldn’t call BFA’s profession good or useful.

Likewise, im close to approaching 1m gold in profit in Shadowlands. Just from professions. And im just a regular casual who’s main content is world quests. I don’t play the AH or multibox or anything like that. Most of the gold comes from selling mats admitedly.

Now with that said though, profession were pretty decent in Legion. You could make legos and normal raid level gear via Obliterum, if i remember correctly. We are missing the second part in Shadowlands. Useful gear. Even if it was just 1 or 2 ilvl 200 pieces. That would go a long way to make professions feel relevant again. As long as they are BoE.

MoP had the crafting system figured out and all professions should be reverted to that iteration. Don’t @ me

The only flaw MoP had was that Spirits should have been BoA from the start.

Oftentimes I’d get lots and lots of Spirits on my Enchanter, and other gatherers, but my crafters were left unable to make weapons and such because they had very few.

That way, you weren’t punished for having alts, but yet you still had limits on the good stuff, and you couldn’t just flood the market from Day One, you still had to go out and do stuff to get those spirits.
