The Classic Population in a nutshell and the outcome

Everyone is already crawling back to BfA. lol

Accomplishments are what you make of them. There’s still plenty of difficulty to be found. I often find the people who say there isn’t either aren’t capable of doing that content or don’t want to put the time into doing it.

Also, two general thoughts for you-

  1. Tedium =/= “Difficulty”

  2. The game still has meaning if you make it have meaning. I’m extremely vocal about changes Blizzard makes that are bad for the game, but throwing the baby out with the bathwater doesn’t help.

Are they? Anecdotally, there are 20 times more Deadmines groups in /4 than +10 keys in LFG.

Seems like retail is hemorrhaging players to classic, from my limited sample size.

Blizzard only knows. Let’s hope Bellular is right and the success of Classic (and other such releases by other companies) moves the MMO needle back towards RPG and away from Mobile gaming.

classic is the new thing this week. get back to this in a few months or when bfa has a patch

the next retail expansion will make classic a ghost town for a while too probably

Time will tell, I suppose, but I do think that of classic continues to be popular, retail will start to pick up rpg elements again, and I (for one) can’t wait to find out what happens.

But you are making a comparison between a leveling dungeon and end game content? Better to check how many DM groups against DM groups.

There are more deadmines groups in /4 than there are groups at all in LFG.

There is something wrong with your LFG then.

Yeah, nobody’s playing because they already used up their acorns/energy/fish or whatever and they’ll log in tomorrow when blizzard gives them some more things to do.

Every now and then I like to take a break and post something actually smart. Don’t be jealous, it gives you wrinkles. Practice, practice, practice - eventually you’ll get there too!

I am in this group. I always liked leveling up prior to zone scaling so since i don’t level new characters in this game anymore, I can just go level them up in classic. I am almost lvl 31 and am really thinking about starting a second one already…

I am also really enjoying professions. If there is one thing I wish blizzard would carry over into retail is the depth and breath of the profession system. So many different things you can make, so much content just getting different profession recipes - none of this rank 3 garbage.

I have to wonder if my enjoyment of retail will ever be the same after this though because my main game for 9 years was leveling alts/character progression and doing professions.

lol, I have to go fish for my pet tomorrow instead of level…

They actually want that high school elite feeling again, because no one cares what you accomplished 15 years ago as a snot nosed kid.

Wrong. Still enjoying Classic and to me Retail is still trash.

Just curious why you’re not posting on your Classic character.

No particular reason.

I also think the OP got it right.

Not completely. For starters most streamers will return to classic for part of phase 2, which is the massive pvp battles streamer v streamer. Phase 2 won’t start for about 2 to 3 months.

Doubt classic will be that popular by then.
