The Classic Hype is dead in the EU! Need national Servers

Which is why having classic on the same sub as retail is not a good idea. If it was on a separate sub they would know exactly how many people are going to play classic. The way it is now, they can only guess.

Right. Like I mentioned, I’m not saying they’re right here. But we didn’t get Classic WoW because we argued with Blizzard over how “classic gameplay is better”. We got Classic WoW by demonstrating the sheer number of users who would play it (and therefore subscribe).

Same situation here. EU Players have to show them the numbers/financials of it. Arguments on the basis of #nochanges / gameplay aren’t going to make Blizzard budge on this.

Just do it this way:

Server 1:

  • Layer 1: English
  • Layer 2: German
  • Layer 3…

If the population of a language layer will break away just merge them to the (international) english layer.

This way you would avoid ghost realms AND satisfy the customers.

Argue this point to Blizzard, not me :stuck_out_tongue: I’m simply trying to get people to shift the argument from “But it’s the right thing to do for a classic experience #nochanges”, which won’t help anything, to “it’s the most profitable thing to do”, which might get results. But unless I have some new found power to control Blizzard, argue towards them

Well including AS many Players AS possible would be the Most profitable Thing…

How is it done in retail now? If it’s the same, then I’m not surprised. Blizzard is putting as little work into Classic as possible.

I think this all but proves either the laziness of the classic team, their incompetence, or utterly terrible management decisions they are forced to abide by.

Shameless cross realm bgs should not be in classic plug.

Based on what evidence?

Nah you’re part of the EU block, language shouldn’t matter to you.

Sarcasm? And if its not sarcasm, your worldview about Europe is totally wrong.

They were in classic, though. Don’t you remember battle-groups?

How is it wrong? You’re all part of the EU. Might as well be the United States of Europe at this point.

Only way to play illidan is with the block chinese addon. Shudders

Lol i am not even going to play classic on release anymore. They killed my hype with the over exposure of the game theough the preferential treatment of streamers.

Soooo i play ff14 now with friends.
Bye blizzard, letting my 10 days of sub left run dry.

Sure, but was that the barrier before? Were courts siding w pservers?

I hope blizzard reconsiders. When this whole project started they used the phrase whether it’s tens of thousands of players or tens of players, they’ll keep servers for people who want to play. If they honestly believe that there aren’t enough people in Deutschland, France, etc, who want to play classic to sustain a few servers per language, whats the point of this whole thing?

I feel bad for the EU folks. They got shafted.

Have you tried to do a Baron run in three different languages? Buna, Hallo, Ciao, and Bonjour is about 1/5th of all of those languages I know and I certainly don’t know enough to ask someone to CC a specific mob or I’m out of mana or accidentally pulled a pack.

I don’t understand this sentiment at all. If you don’t like steamers, don’t watch them. Streamers make money playing video games. You could have been one of them if you streamed when you played video games. Blizzard wants gamers to be aware Classic is coming…

Personally I’d go with “AAAHGGGHHHHHFJSKEBBDKSK1!4829SHHHH”. That’s the universal language for save me save me I’ve got aggro.
